Shuttle XPC Barebone SZ68R5

Shuttle has unveiled its new barebone PC namely the SZ68R5. Based on the Intel Z68 chipset, the computer supports up to 32GB of DDR3 memory, Intel Core i3/i5/i7 processors and up to four add-on cards (PCIe-x16-2.0, PCIe-x4-2.0, Mini-PCIe-x1-2.0 and mSATA). Measuring 33cm x 21.5cm x 19cm, the Shuttle XPC Barebone SZ68R5 can accommodate a maximum of two 3.5-inch drives and one 5.35-inch drive. Other specs include four DIMM slots, two SATA 6Gbps ports, two SATA 3Gbps ports, a 500W 80-PLUS certified power supply unit, HDMI and DVI-I graphics outputs. The Shuttle XPC SZ68R5 Barebone is priced at around $397 a pop. [Shuttle]

Don’t judge a book by its cover. Although it is small, the new Shuttle XPC H7 5820S Mini PC with Matrox graphics can drive up to 16 LCD monitors. The computer is powered by an Intel Core i7 950 processor, an 8GB of RAM, a 1TB of storage space, and a Matrox M9138 LP 1024MB triple-monitor graphics card. What’s more, the Shuttle XPC H7 5820S can also be incorporated with one or two Matrox M9128 dual-monitor, M9140/M9148 quad-monitor, or M9188 octal graphics cards. Shuttle Europe has announced the availability of the XPC SH61R4 Barebone mini PC. Based on Intel H61 Express chipset, the computer features a powerful Intel Sandy Bridge processor series, a 250W power supply unit, a 5.25-inch HDD bay, two 3.5-inch HDD bays, and an aluminum case that makes it more durable. Measuring 32.5cm x 21.5cm x 19cm, the SH61R4 also has a removable acrylic cover, so you can customize the front panel. Additional specs include a couple of DDR3-1333 memory slots (up to 8GB of RAM), four SATA 3.0Gbps ports, a PCI-Express x16 slot, Gigabit Ethernet, and 5.1 channel audio. The Shuttle XPC Barebone SX58H7 Pro is known as the smallest Mini-PC for Intel’s Core i7-990X Extreme Edition processor. Owners of this powerpack have a choice to fit either two single-slot graphics cards or one dual-slot graphics card. Two PCIe-x16-2.0 slots offer an enormous bandwidth and a separate Mini-PCIe-x1 slot allows the installation e.g. of a WLAN module.
