If you’re crazy about smart phones, here’s something cool for you to expect. A new Motorola ‘A810′ is ready to awe its audience. This touchscreen phone is based on Linux OS, featuring a 2.2-inch touchscreen display, an advanced SMS/email application with handwriting recognition and of course other features such as MP3 player, FM Radio and 2M camera are available. Samsung will be dropping the HSUPA SCH-M470 smart phone in Korea. The SCH-M470 offers support for wireless internet features such as video call, web browsing, push mail, and Google browsing along with a 2 Mega pixel camera, wifi, and bluetooth 2.0. SKT (SK Telecom) plans to start 2Mbps speed upload demonstration services in designated areas and extend to more areas. No word on pricing or when this will drop in Korea and other areas. Alltel and US Cellular users will be getting a treat come this Summer. The Motorola Q9C in a bright and shiny lime green color will be hitting store shelves. It comes with the basics like a 1.3-megapixel camera, 2.4-inch display and 128MB of on board memory. The lime green Motorola Q9C will be going for about $100 with Alltel and a contract while US Cellular pricing is still unknown at this moment. [CNET via Upcoming Cell Phones]
Asus has already done a Lamborghini laptop and now they’ve decided to make a smartphone. The ZX1 is a sleek and glossy phone that features HSDPA 850/1900/2100 and quadband GSM/EDGE, a 3 megapixel autofocus camera, VGA camera for video calling, 256MB ROM, 128MB RAM, a microSD memory card slot, GPS navigation, WiFi connectivity, and a QVGA display. Here comes another smart phone by Toshiba known as the Portege G810. it features built-in GPS and A-GPS, WiFi and Bluetooth along with a 2.8-inch QVGA touch screen, a 3 megapixel camera, a microSD card slot for expansion and an FM radio. The Protege also has support for HSDPA and HSUPA. Pricing is still unknown, but Europe should be receiving this phone in the 2nd quarter sometime this year.
Samsung displayed their Ultra Smart F520 phone at the 3GSM 2007. It features a 3.3-inch touch screen interface, enabling users to go from a QWERTY keyboard to a numeric keypad. Additional features include HSDPA connectivity and a full browsing capability like a PC monitor. No word on pricing or availability yet so far, but it shouldn’t be too long. Europe will be happy to know that the Palm Centro has released today in Europe and should be pretty cheap. The entry-level smart phone will be powered by Palm OS and will be available in red. Other specs haven’t been revealed, so Europeans will just have to check it out.
