The LG-KS10 a.k.a. JoY is a symbian smartphone that offers a slider keypad and comes with a 2.4 inch LCD screen, 2MP camera, bluetooth and media player. The handset also has HSDPA connectivity, which provides download speeds of up to 1.8Mbps.

The LG KS20 smartphone will be seen in the upcoming IFA2007. The handset comes with a 2.8-inch all touch screen display with full browsing capability. The phone runs on Windows Mobile 6.0, and supports HSDPA network with 3.6Mbps download speed. Other specs include push email service, 2MP shooter, MP3 playback, Bluetooth 2.0, cursive script recognition and video call. LG’s new KS20 will be available in 4Q 2007 in Europe. As usual, there is no word on pricing or availability.

The HTC’s executive director for Middle East and North Africa confirmed that four upcoming smartphones to be announced in September. New HTC smartphones will be announced during the upcoming GITEX Technology event in Dubai starting from 8th September. Four models will be presented including the HTC Nike and HTC TyTN II.

Hardwarezone has a comprehensive review of the Asus P526 GPS enabled smartphone. The gadget’s lack of 3G and Wi-Fi makes it only good for consumers who are not interested in high speed data downloads. However, the Asus P526 offers Bluetooth and Edge connectivity. It is expected to cost around $530. Here is the verdict.
GPS phones are slowly gaining a foothold in the cellular market, but light ones such as the P526 are still rare. Sadly, with the lack of both Wi-Fi and 3G, the P526 won’t be winning the hearts of many just yet, which is just as well considering it is aimed at a different consumer group from that of Wi-Fi enabled smartphones such as the Asus P525. So, the price of the Asus P526? Well, an affordable SGD$898 (~USD$530).

According to a statement issued by HTC Europe, the firm will upgrade its HTC P3300, S620 and Advantage with the Windows Mobile 6 operating system in August. To get the free OS upgrade, HTC users need to register for an account to access the “My Downloads” section of HTC eClub.

LG Korea has released the KC1 smartphone which features WiBro connectivity. The phone comes with Marvell Monahans CPU at 800 Mhz and runs on the Windows Mobile version 5.0 operating system. The handset also sports a 2.8 inch touchscreen LCD, Bluetooth, SD card slot and T-DMB receiver for watching digital TV on the move. For your info, the WiBro is the Korean name for mobile Wi-Max although it has a much shorter range at 1.5 Kms per base station with an aggregate data throughput of 30 to 50 Mbit/s. The LG-KC1 phone will be available in Korea only for $750.

The Samsung SGH-i620 smartphone has a compact slider form factor with a slide down QWERTY keyboard. This Windows Mobile 6 smartphone also features the 5-way navigation keypad to access applications quickly. It connects the Internet via Wi-Fi or HSDPA (3.5g). Other features include a 2MP camera, Bluetooth 2.0 and a Micro SD slot. Weighing at just 105grams, the Samsung i620 is expected to be available in September 2007.
