Here is good news for those who are living in Erope, because Motorola has rolled out the Motorola Milestone for the European market. This Android 2.0-powered handset provides a trial version of MOTONAV turn-by-turn navigation, which is free for the first 60 days. The phone also features a 3.7-inch touchscreen display with a resolution of 480 x 854 pixels, a 5-megapixel camera with dual LED flash and a 3.5mm headphone jack. Orange will release the Motorola Dext (Cliq) in the UK on October 7th, 2009. The Motorola Dext will be available free on a two year contract with Orange for £35 ($55) per month. The package will include 900 call minutes, unlimited texts, unlimited Internet browsing and access to Orange Maps. Samsung’s latest smartphone features Android OS with a 5MP AF camera module, a 3.2-inch AMOLED screen, WiFi, Bluetooth 2.1 and a microSD card (up to 16GB). The best part of this handset is the Samsung TouchWiz 3D interface with 3D cube menu for easy access to multimedia contents. The handset will be available for pre-order from T-Mobile USA starting on October 19th, 2009 for $199.99 with a two-year service agreement. Palm has finally announced its second WebOS smartphone, officially called Palm Pixi (previously known as Palm Eos or Palm Pixie). Measuring 4.37-inch x 2.17-inch x 0.43-inch and weighing at just 99.5 grams, the Palm Pixi is claimed as the slimmest Palm smartpone. The candy-bar handset comes equipped with a 2.63-inch (320×400) touchscreen display, a 2MP fixed-focus camera with LED flash, a full QWERTY keypad, and access to the Palm Beta App Catalog, which includes entertainment and social networking applications like Yelp and Local Concerts by iLike. The back cover of Palm Pixi is rubberized, which makes the phone scratch-resistant and durable. The Palm Pixi comes with Palm Synergy, which links your information from Google, Exchange ActiveSync, Facebook, Yahoo! and LinkedIn. It seems that HTC will release a new smartphone in the near future, which is knows as the HTC Touch HD2. It is actually a successor to the famous HTC Touch HD. O2 online shop has launched the Samsung i7500 Galaxy, which is claimed to be the highest-end Android device in the market today. LG has announced a new business-oriented smartphone at CommunicAsia 2009. Dubbed as the GW550, the phone comes in a candybar form-factor and features front-facing QWERTY keyboard, that reminds me of the Nokia E71x. The LG GW550 also has a non-touch-sensitive 2.4-inch display with QVGA resolution, a 3MP camera, stereo speakers, HSDPA 7.2Mbps (HSUPA 2.0Mbps) connectivity and 1300mAh battery. It is a WinMo PocketPC with a sliding QWERTY keyboard, a 3.5-inch WVGA AMOLED touchscreen, a 5MP auto focus camera with LED flash, HSPA, Wi-Fi, GPS, an FM radio, and a microSD slot (with support for up to 32GB).
