The brand new Motorola Q9 comes with Windows Mobile 6.1 OS on it. This new operating system features some cool stuff including Copy / Paste, Domain Enroll in Settings(Enrolling in a domain will connect your device with company resources.), New home screen (pan left and right to check out missed calls, notifications like email, sms, etc.), Change Master Security Code, Added text input settings, Recent Programs when pressing Start menu, and Threaded SMS. BoyGenius alo reported that when you compose an email, or SMS, and start typing the name of the contact in the “To:” field, the contact names finally pop up like Windows Mobile Professional. Internet Explorer now allows you define a homepage, and zoom in and out using a nice and clean interface.

Mozilla has finally rolled out its updated Firefox girl. The new version features updated security, ease-of-use, and the familiar open-source functionality. It is able to run web-based applications even if you’re not connected to the Internet. The software is available for Windows, Mac OS X, and Linux at Mozilla’s download site in 20 languages.
Gecko 1.9 includes some major re-architecting for performance, stability, correctness, and code simplification and sustainability,” the notes said. Those changes “put foundations in place for major performance tuning which have resulted in speed increases in beta 1, and will show further gains in future beta releases.

Appleinsider informed that the new version of iTunes 7.5 could arrive next week, or in the middle of November. The upgrade version will offer better management of duplicate song entries and prevent crashes resulting from iTunes Plus upgrades.

Here is good news for all the Nokia N95 owners. A free software called RotateMe will be released at the end of November which will allow you switch your N95 to landscape mode. Apple today announced that Mac OS X Leopard will be released on Friday, October 26 at 6:00 p.m. at Apple’s retail stores and Apple Authorized Resellers, and that Apple’s online store is now accepting pre-orders. For your info, the standard Mac OS Up-To-Date upgrade package is also available to all customers who purchased a qualifying new Mac system from Apple or an Apple Authorized Reseller on or after October 1, 2007 for a shipping and handling fee of $9.95. Leopard requires a minimum of 512MB of RAM and is designed to run on any Mac computer with an Intel, PowerPC G5 or G4 (867 Mhz or faster) processor.
