Apple today released Apple iPod touch software v1.1.1., that attempts to fix bugs. Additionally, the “Negative Blacks” screen issue may have been addressed with this update. iTunes 7.4.3 for Windows has also been released which specifically addresses issues with the initial setup of the iPod touch on some international versions of Windows. The update is available now via the update feature in iTunes.

Microsoft today released the Windows Vista SP1 beta to a private group of testersr. This beta will be available to between 10,000 and 15,000 users, featuring a couple of minor user interface changes and overall responsiveness. Microsoft has promised that SP1 will come with improved performance of Internet Explorer 7, especially for Web sites that run AJAX. The final SP1 will be distributed via Windows Update, and corporate administrator will be able to use a standalone version of SP1.
Apple has released iTunes 7.3.2 that “provides bug fixes to improve stability and performance.” The new update can be downloaded through Apple’s Software Update application or from the company’s website. iTunes 7.3.2 is available now for both Mac and PC.
Apple has released the new iTunes 7.3.1 and Quicktime 7.2. According to the company, “iTunes 7.3.1 addresses a minor problem with iTunes 7.3 accessing the iTunes Library.†This new version does not require Quicktime 7.2 (thank heavens), and supports for full screen viewing in QuickTime Player (about time), updates to the H.264 codec, and numerous bug fixes. Both updates are available for free download.
Good news for Apple fans. iTunes 7.3 is now available for download. The new version handles activation and syncing of iPhones, and has the ability to stream digital photos “from any computer in your home†to Apple TV.
Some dudes have studied the hologram section of the DVD and they found something. Deep inside the hologram you can find a hidden photo of three guys. Check out more pics after the jump!
The photo displays members of the team who worked on the Windows Vista DVD hologram design. Microsoft’s Anti-Piracy Team designed a counterfeit-resistant digital “watermark” for the non-encoded surface of Windows Vista DVDs. The photo in question is only one of multiple images contained in the hologram design, all of whose inclusion serves to make it more difficult to replicate a Windows Vista DVD. The other images are of old master works of art that are in the public domain. These images are part of numerous other security measures that have been designed into our media, packaging and certificates of authenticity. Hence, even though this image has been reproduced on the Web, there are many other features providing further security.

id Software, the graphics guru, has recently unveiled its next-generation engine at WWDC during Steve Jobs’ keynote. Dubbed as “id Tech 5″, it is the fifth generation graphics engine and will be fully multiplatform. The engine itself is being developed for the PC, Mac, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.
