Zenrin Japan will release a new GPS software for the Sony PSP 1000/2000 and 3000 series (not compatible with PSP Go). Dubbed as the Minna No Nabi (Everyone’s GPS), the program features Sony’s latest Social PetaMap service. Sony has recently unveiled the new color for their PSP. The metallic blue edition Sony PSP will be available in August 12th, 2008 for around $200. The Sony PSP Headset Kit for Skype is now available in the States. The device allows you to chat with your friends over Skype using your PSP. The headset features street-style earphones, an adjustable boom microphone, and a remote control for adjusting sound volume. However, you should make sure that you have version 3.9 of the PSP firmware installed before you will be able to use the Skype headset. The Sony PSP Headset Kit for Skype retails for $30. Sony Japan has recently released the Firmware version 3.95 for the Sony PSP. This update offers two new features including the ability to add custom button configuration for PS1 game playback and to quit remote play with your Sony PlayStation 3 while still leaving the Sony PlayStation 3 on. The Sony PSP will be receiving the Colorware option starting April 14th. So for those of you that aren’t fully satisfied with the boring silver color, may want to check this out. The Bronze Sony PSP will be available in the Japanese market on April 24th 2008. The gadget will be available in limited quantities(only 60,000 units). Priced at $230, this bronze colored gadget comes bundled with a 32MB Memory Pro Duo memory stick and an AV digital cable. Good news for all gaming junkies that are on the go. There’s a new concept that combines a cell phone and your Sony PSP. It features a widescreen 3-inch (480 x 272) display, PSP functionality via M2 card slot, dual-slide design, and a functional gamepad. Unfortunately this is only a concept as of right now, but if it does get big which I hope it does, it’d be a hot gadget to have.
This fan-made PSP concept is pretty sleek and sexy. It’s slim design and placement of the L and R triggers make this PSP very appealing to the average eye. The only question is: if it were actually sold, would it be just as good as the real deal?
