The Sony PSP has received a new shade of color. The new Deep Red PSP will hit stores in Japan this December and will come with an accessory package. No word on pricing so far.

Winning Eleven: Pro Evolution Soccer 2008 is a video game in the Pro Evolution Soccer series by Konami. It features a new adaptive AI system entitled Teamvision, which is a sophisticated AI programming that learns and adapts according to an individual’s style of play. Pro Evolution Soccer 2008 will be released for PC, Nintendo Wii, Nintendo DS, Sony PlayStation 3, PlayStation 2, PSP, and Microsoft Xbox 360. Sony has confirmed that the new slim Sony PSP (PSP-2000) is available today. Available in silver, this toy is part of the $199.99 “Entertainment Pack,” which comes with a copy of Daxter, the Family Guy — Freakin’ Sweet Collection on UMD, and a 1GB Memory Stick.

Now lighter and thinner, with a faster loading time, and video out to play on a TV, the upgraded Sony PSP 2000 just got a little sweeter. Go grab the upgraded portable gaming console for $169.99.

Sony unveiled a slimmed down Sony PSP at the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) in Santa Monica, Los Angeles, California. The toy is 33 percent lighter, 19 percent slimmer, and offers better battery life, faster game load times, and video output to TVs. The slim Sony PSP will be available in two choice of colors; “ice silver” and a Star Wars-themed white PSP emblazoned with Darth Vader’s visage. Both versions of the PSP will cost $200 (as you can see the price didn’t get slimmer, but they threw in some goodies) with the silver version including Daxter, a Family Guy UMD video collection, and a 1GB Memory Stick Duo. The Star Wars version will include the new Star Wars Battlefront: Renegade Squadron game.

ChrisTek and Epixx have released iPSP, which is an Apple iPhone interface for the Sony PSP. The program replaces the default “media crossbar†with a simplified iPhone menu and adds several of the usual applications including calendar, instant messaging, web browser, and mail… and you don’t have to pay someone to unlock these features. You can download the software for free, so you can save some money (but you still won’t be able to save yourself from the iPhone hype). Check out the video of the iPSP in action after the break.

PSP has announced its new firmware number 3.50. Using this firmware update, your Sony PSP will be able to access your Sony Playstation 3 and access videos, music and pictures through a WiFi connection. The wireless PSP access to PS3 is only limited to viewing and listening of content. In addition, the RSS menu will also be far more user-friendly on this new firmware update with the introduction of the RSS Channel Guide. You can download the new 3.50 firmware right here.

Sony has released the 2GB Memory Stick Entertainment Pack for the Sony PSP (PlayStation Portable) system. The 2GB Memory Stick Entertainment Pack MSX-M2GSEP2 is bundled with an installer DVD loaded with the movies “Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby,†“Spiderman 2,†“Hellboy†and “S.W.A.T.†The new Sony Memory Stick Entertainment Packs will be released this month with the price tag of $60.
