Sony VAIO L Series All-In-One Desktop PC

Sony has just added another all-in-one desktop PC to its line-up by announcing the VAIO L Series. Powered by either an Intel Core i5 or i7 processor, this space-saving machine is equipped with a 24-inch 1920 x 1080 LED-backlit multi-touch display, a GeForce GT 540M graphics card, up to 8GB RAM, a 1TB hard drive, a DVD or Blu-ray drive, an HD webcam, WiFi, Bluetooth, dual 5.5W speakers, two USB 3.0 ports, an HDMI port and runs on Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit OS. Sony has recently introduced a couple of new OLED monitors, the 17-inch BVM-E170 and 25-inch BVM-E250. Based on organic light-emitting diode (OLED) technology, these OLED monitors produce an amazing picture clarity and an accurate color reproduction. The 17-inch BVM-E170 and 25-inch BVM-E250 feature a full HD resolution of 1920 x 1080 with 10-bit drivers, a 100 cd/m2 brightness level, and a 178 degree viewing angles. Standard inputs include 3G/HD/SD-SDI; HDMI and a DisplayPort input. Sony TRIMASTER EL OLED Monitors

Sony will release a new range of Full HD Monitor for the TV and Movie Business, the TRIMASTER EL. Available in 17-inch and 25-inch variants, these OLED monitors come with professional grade connectors such as HDMI, DisplayPort, 3G-SDI, SD-SDI and HD-SDI. The new Sony TRIMASTER EL OLED monitors also provides an accurate color reproduction and a perfect image quality without motion blur even with very fast moving objects. The 17-inch model will be released in Japan in July 2011, while the 25-inch model will be launched in May 2011. [Akihabara]

Sony Japan today introduced a trio of new Monolithic Bravia full HDTVs, the 22-inch KDL-22EX42H, 32-inch KDL-32EX42H and 40-inch KDL-40EX42H. These HDTVs comes equipped with Sony’s Edge LED panel and a 500GB of internal HDD. The Sony Bravia Monolithic is able to record videos on an external Drive via USB port. These TVs comes with a full HD resolution panel on the 40-inch only, while the 32-inch and 22-inch models come with a 1366×768 panel. Sony Japan Launches Three New Headphones

Sony has introduced three new headphones in the form of the MDR-XB1000, MDR-XB41EX and MDR-XB21EX. The Sony MDR-XB1000 is a high-end overhead headphones that feature a couple of 70mm dynamic-type driver units with soft and comfortable padding, a 24-Ohm impedance, a 106dB/mW output sound pressure and a 2-30,000Hz frequency response. The Sony MDR-XB41EX and MDR-XB21EX in-ear headphones come equipped with a 13.5mm and a 9mm driver unit, respectively. Both models also have a 16-Ohm impedance and a 105dB/mW sound pressure for the Sony MDR-XB41EX and a 103dB/mW sound pressure for the Sony MDR-XB21EX. [Sony]

The Sony ICZ-R50 radio recorder is now available for purchase in Japan. The gadget comes jam packed with a 4GB of storage space, an AM/FM radio recorder and an SD/SDHC card slot for storage expansion for up to 32GB. Sony Releases New SD Cards

Sony has unveiled three new series of SD cards in the form of the Class 4 (4MB/s) Essential Series, Class 4 Experience Series and Class 10 Expert Series. The Class 4 (4MB/s) Essential Series comes in 2GB, 4GB, and 8GB of storage capacities, while the Class 4 Experience Series adds 16GB and 32GB models. And finally, the Class 10 Expert Series is available in 8GB, 16GB, and 32GB of storage spaces. All models will be released in January 2010. Unfortunately, there is no info on pricing so far. Sony Corp has recently unveiled a 13.3-inch flexible electronic paper (e-paper) device at Eco-Products 2010 in Tokyo, Japan. The e-paper device is equipped with E Ink Corp’s e-paper using microcapsules. Unfortunately, Sony declined to comment on the specification of the e-paper device including its pixel count and backplane. Additionally, the company also exhibited a mock-up of the next-generation e-book reader, which uses a flexible OLED panel and an urethane-based chassis. Read more

The Sony Bravia KDL-22PX300 HDTV has been released in Europe. This HDTV provides a 22-inch LCD screen with a maximum resolution of 720p, 4x HDMI cables, 2x optical audio cables and 3x USB ports. What makes the Sony Bravia KDL-22PX300 more interesting is that it comes equipped with a built-in Sony PlayStation 2 console. Sony Dash Receives Hulu Plus Streaming

Sony today announced that the subscription-based Hulu Plus streaming service is available for the Sony Dash personal Internet viewer. Users can have access to popular TV shows for $9.99 monthly. The gadget also features a number of other apps such as social networking, weather, news, sports, and videos, and Hulu Plus will be joining the over 1,000 free apps available to the Dash platform.
