
Klipsch has rolled out the ProMedia 2.1 wireless THX-certified speakers that are designed for use with a laptop. The speaker system consists of two satellite speakers and one subwoofer. The subwoofer draws its power from a wall outlet, while the two satellite speakers are connected to the subwoofer with wires. What makes the Klipsch ProMedia 2.1 interesting is that it connects to the laptop via wireless connection, so you can place these satellite speakers and a subwoofer 30-feet away from the PC. All you have to do is to plug its USB wireless transmitter into the laptop’s USB port. If you are interested, you can purchase the Klipsch ProMedia 2.1 speakers for $150 a set. Teufel has launched its Cinebar 50 soundbar that is claimed to produce audio quality similar to the standard five-speaker system. The soundbar features two tweeters, two mid-range drivers and two low-mid range drivers that will pump out a total of 200-watts of power. Its bundled CB 50 SW subwoofer produces 150-watts of power with a frequency response ranging from 35Hz to 150Hz. Connectivity comes in the form of a couple of digital inputs (one coaxial on optical) and two pairs of analogue (Phono) inputs at the rear. There is also a USB port in the front for playback of MP3 and WMA files from storage devices. The Cinebar’s onboard decoder supports DTS and Dolby Digital. Bose just launched the SoundLink wireless speaker system, which is the company’s first dedicated network audio streaming package for PC and Mac. It is an answer for those who want to set up a hassle-free wireless music system without worrying about Wi-Fi configurations. No software or Wi-Fi connection is required. You just need to plug the included SoundLink USB key into the computer, select music from iTunes, Pandora, or any other Internet radio or music source, and the audio will stream to the SoundLink speaker via a long-range wireless link that works through most walls and floors. Creative Labs is famous for its Sound Blaster sound card series. The company comes back with a new Sound Blaster for iTunes. It is a USB dongle that will wirelessly stream music to virtually any room in your home as long as you have a Wireless Receiver from Creative Lab connected to speakers. You can also buy the GigaWorks T20Ws that comes with a wireless receiver. Recently, Panasonic unveiled its new Wireless Home Theater System SC-ZT1 that is specially designed to set you free from the trouble of setting speaker cables. The system sends uncompressed audio data over a wireless 2.4-GHz frequency band for ensuring high-quality sound. Pioneer today unveiled the brand new Series 8 speaker set, that consists of three variants including the Pioneer S-81C 3 way central speaker, the Pioneer S-81B-LR is a bookshelf speaker, and the Pioneer S-81 floor standing speaker. Here is good news for you. The Sony Tubular non-directional speaker concept has become reality. The speaker will be released on the next June 20th, 2008. Measuring 325mm x 1845mm x 325mm and 12.5kg, the new “Sountina†speaker (NSA-PF1) is a transparent organic glass tube which vibrates and expand sound to 360 degrees. It provides a frequency response of 50Hz – 20,000Hz, an input line, a 13cm subwoofer speaker, a 7cm medium speaker and the tweeter which is all of the organic glass. The Gais Lisire Series 020 speaker is a 2.1 channel sound system that consists of a 12 inch wide subwoofer tube and two round satellite speakers.
