Here is good news for you. The Sony Tubular non-directional speaker concept has become reality. The speaker will be released on the next June 20th, 2008. Measuring 325mm x 1845mm x 325mm and 12.5kg, the new “Sountina” speaker (NSA-PF1) is a transparent organic glass tube which vibrates and expand sound to 360 degrees. It provides a frequency response of 50Hz – 20,000Hz, an input line, a 13cm subwoofer speaker, a 7cm medium speaker and the tweeter which is all of the organic glass. The Gais Lisire Series 020 speaker is a 2.1 channel sound system that consists of a 12 inch wide subwoofer tube and two round satellite speakers. Its subwoofer is powered by a 6-watt amp and the satellite speakers offers 2.5-watts per channel. The Gais Lisire Series 020 speaker retails for $199.99 at AudioCube. Available only in Japan. Fool your friends with the new Fenda On Play 2.1 speaker system that looks similar to a Wii. It features a a dock to sit and the speaker is shaped like the Wii’s Nunchuk. Fenda’s “On Play” 2.1 speaker system will be available sometime this year for $50.

XtremeMac introduced its Tango Studio Audio System for iPod, a new compact desktop stereo with a built-in FM radio. The gadget has a retractable iPod dock which is compatible with all dock connector iPod models, plus an FM radio. Other features include two 3-inch loudspeakers powered by an integrated stereo amplifier, a blue LED display, and a full-function remote control. Priced at $79.95, the XtremeMac Tango Studio Audio System for iPod will be available later this month.

What makes the Yamaha YSP-500 cool is that it can “analyze” your room and manages its internal speakers to produce the sound to create a virtual surround sound. Measuring 24-inches long, the speaker system features 18 individual sound beam drivers and support “Dolby digital, DTS, Dolby Pro Logic II and DTS Neo:6. The Yamaha YSP-500 retails at $647 in Japan.
