New Mobile Speakers From Yamaha

Yamaha presented two new Mobile Speakers from the NX range. The first one is the NX-B02, which features BlueTooth connectivity, and two 6W speakers. Meanwhile, the second on the list is the NX-U02 that provides USB 2.0 but with no Bluetooth support. The last one is the NX-A02 with no BlueTooth, no USB 2.0, but just an audio jack.

The FX3020 Soundbar Speaker System is one of the five new speaker which is introduced by Altec Lansing today. This one-piece rectangular speaker features precision-angled drivers and a built-in sound field expander. It is specifically built to go directly under a flat panel monitor. The speaker also utilities XdB for bass and can connect with older Apple iPods, laptops, and MP3 players. The FX3020 SoundBar will be available in October 2007 for $99.95.

Altec Lansing’s Soundblade connects to any Bluetooth 2.0-compatible gadget and outputs whatever audio you offer up through two 2.5-inch speakers. When used in conjunction with a music phone, the speaker controls can be used to switch tracks on the phone. In addition, the Soundblade also acts as a giant speakerphone, making use of a built-in microphone. The Soundblade will be out in November for $130.

Altec Lansing Unveils New Ultra Portable Speakers

Altec Lansing’s released five new speaker systems known as Orbit. Weighing only 8oz, the iMT207 Orbit-M and iM207 Orbit-MP3 adopt Altec Lansing’s Fusion360 technology, which produces a full 360-degree sound field. The iMT207 Orbit-M is mobile phone specific with a 3.5mm stereo connection that is iPhone compatible and also includes a 3.5mm to 2.5mm converter cable for use with compatible music phones. These shock resistant speakers also feature 24 hours of continuous play off 3 AAA batteries. With a release soon, these $39 speakers could serve as an adequate sounding ultra portable speaker.

Boomtune Mini Tripod Styled iPod Speakers

Focal corp Japan has rolled out the Boomtune Mini speaker system for the Apple iPod. It has three legs where two serve as speakers and one as the battery compartment. The speaker does not have a docking station for the iPod, however it connects via 3.5mm stereo mini plug. The Boomtune Mini speaker system will be available in pink and light blue. Boomtune Mini is available in Japan for $39.

JBL Spyro Multimedia Speakers

JBL announced today a new multimedia speaker set called the JBL Spyro. The sub looks like a mushroom and the speakers look like flowers. Available in five different colors including white, black, teal, fuchsia, and orange, this 2.1 system works with PC, Mac, MP3, iPod or any device using a 3.5mm mini stereo jack. Each of the satellite speakers has 6 watts of power and uses JBL’s latest Odyssey technology in the satellites and Atlas technology in the sub.

The Rosetta speakers from Britz offers a dynamic looking set that will compliment your interiors. The speakers come in a 2.1 configuration, with two satellite towers and a downward-firing amplified sub woofer. The speakers also feature red LED illumination and virtual surround technology (IHSS: Independent Harmonic Surround Sound). Rosetta speakers are best suited for computer or video gaming setups. Rosetta’s twin speaker towers measure about 3 inch x 11 inch x 3.5 inch each, while the sub woofer measures about 10 inch x 8 inch x 11 inch. Its satellite towers run at 9-watts per channel, while the sub woofer produces only 32-watts of power. Creative’s Travelsound i50 is a cool portable speaker for the 2G iPod Shuffle. The speaker comes in a brushed metal finish and features a built in lithium polymer rechargeable battery which lasts for 15hours of continuous playback. The battery can be recharged via the built in USB mini port. Its digital amplifier produces 700mW×2ch output with signal to noise ratio of 80dB. The Travelsound i50 measures 128mm × 47mm × 15mm and weighs 85grams and is available in Japan only for around $69.
