The storage device is powered by the SanDisk’s Chronolock memory management technology that can preserve photos and videos uncorrupted for up to 100-year. Samsung has unveiled a new solid state drive namely the Samsung PM830. Designed for notebooks and tablets, this storage device sports the latest SATA 6Gbps interface and utilizes Samsung’s most advanced 20nm 32Gigabit multi-level cell (MLC) NAND memory chip. Samsung says its new SSD can reach sequential read speeds of 500MB/s, while sequential write speeds are listed at an impressive 350MB/s. The drive also features the industry’s highest level of security, which uses an AES 256-bit encryption algorithm to protect personal or corporate data from unauthorized access. Hitachi today unveiled the Ultrastar SSD400M Solid State Drive, which makes use of Intel 25nm MLC (multi-level cell) NAND Flash memory chips and features a SAS (Serial Attached SCSI) 6.0 Gbps interface. Designed for enterprise users, this storage device has a 2.5-inch form factor and a MTBF of 2 million hours. It provides sequential read/write speeds of 495/385 MB/s and delivers up to 56,000 read, as well as 24,000 sustained write IOPS. Century has rolled out the new CWR25/35 HDD/SSD slot-in rack, which is designed to be installed on your HTPC or desktop PC. The device features a unique design that allows you to install two drives including a 3.5-inch HDD and a 2.5-inch SSD or HDD. The company also adds an active 4000rpm cooling system inside this HDD/SSD slot-in rack to prevent overheat.
