Patriot Torqx 2 SSD Series

The Patriot Memory Torqx 2 solid state series series provides improved performances over their predecessors as well as larger storage capacities. The storage device can now reach sequential write speeds of up to 230MB/s while the sustained read performance is rated at 270MB/s. As a comparison, the first generation Torqx SSD series has a similar read performance (260MB/s), but their write speeds were limited at 115MB/s, which is exactly half the write throughput of the Torqx 2. The Patriot Torqx 2 SSD series should start shipping this week in 32GB, 64GB, 128GB and 256GB of storage capacities with a 2.5-inch form factor. [Softpedia]
