
Buffalo offers a brand new SATA SSD line up that has a mini USB port. Dubbed as the SHD-NSUM, the drive is available in 30GB to 32GB, 60GB, 64GB, 120GB and 128GB storage capacities. You can use its mini USB port to backup your valuable data. No word on pricing or availability so far. [Akihabara]

Corsair is known for its high-quality PC/ laptop memory. The company has decided to enter the SSD market, with its S128 release. The Corsair S128 provides a read speed of 90MB/s and a write speed of 70MB/s, and uses a Samsung controller. OCZ Technology’s Apex Series is a midrange line of solid state drives of the 2.5-inch SATA II variety. These SSD drives will be available in 60GB, 120GB and 250GB varieties and offer 230MB/sec read and 160MB/sec write speeds. Sadly, there is no info on pricing at this time. [Electronista]

Toshiba today announced their latest 2.5 inch 512MB SSD drive (THNS512GG8B). Sadly, there is no further info about the price tag. But, I am sure Toshiba will show off this SSD in January next year at the CES 2009. We’ll keep you posted. [Akihabara]

Here is the new pocket SSD from GreenHouse. The 2.5 inch SSD drive connects to your PC via a USB 2.0 port and is available in 32GB and 64GB storage capacity. Measuring 10mm thick, the SSD drive adopts MLC chips that offers a 20MB/s reading and a 18MB/s writing speed in a 63grams body. No word on pricing at this time. [GreenHouse]

The 2.5 inch OCZ Vertex SATA II SSD has been released. The drive is available in capacities ranging from 30GB to 60GB, 120GB and 250GB. Taiwan-based G.Skill has a new solid state drives for the market. The ultra-performance SATA II 2.5 inch Solid State Drives (SSD) is based on NAND MLC flash storage medium. Available in 64GB and 128GB storage capacities, these SSDs are protected by a sturdy metal alloy housing to make the devices more durable.
