
Western Digital today released their latest My Book World Edition NAS servers. Available in 1TB and 2TB capacities, this updated version offers easy installation and automatic continuous backup. It is also compatible with both PC and Mac platforms, and will utilize Western Digital’s green hard drive in order to reduce power consumption. Transcend loves India. The company releases something special for its customers in India with a limited edition India Spirit USB flash drive. It is actually a direct competitor to Western Digital’s TV HD Media Player. The Lacinema Black MAX is a NAS storage device with a proprietary UI that can connect to your HDTV (HDMI and component) and output a 1080p signal. The device comes with either a 500GB or 1TB hard drive, that can be expanded via its USB 2.0 inputs. The Blackmax can also upscale your home movies and download movies, music and photos over WiFi or Ethernet from networked computers. It is a standalone CD ripper and a NAS storage device, so you can stored your music files on the built-in hard drive and shared on the network through the NAS functionality.
