Super Talent has launched a new series of co-branded Toshiba SSDs, the UltraDrive DX. Coming in 64GB, 128GB, 256GB and 512GB capacities, these 2.5-inch drives provide a reading speed up to 230MB/s and a writing speed up to 180MB/s. Super Talent will launch a new RAIDDrive SSD series in October 2009. Measuring 258mm x 112mm x 25 mm, the RAIDDrive uses PCIe Gen. 2.0 x8 interface allowing the drive to provide sequential read speeds of up to 1.4GB/sec and sequential write speeds of up to 1.2GB/sec. Super Talent has released a new firmware upgrade ‘Firmware Version 1370′ for their UltraDrive SSDs, which enables improved performance when used with Microsoft Windows 7. This new firmware increases the maximum read and write of both the UltraDrive ME and UltraDrive LE to 260 MB/sec while reading and 200 MB/sec (ME) and 210 MB/sec (LE) when writing.
