Now Renault has a new variation and perhaps a new landmark car, its Mégane Coupé Concept car released in Geneva Motor Show last night with twin, two-part “dragonfly wing†doors. The awesome design will form the basis of an upcoming model. The dragonfly wing doors open to reveal a futuristic, sleek, and stylish interior with four independent seats, sorry dudes… no back seat to take your date. Mégane Coupé Concept is powered by a 200hp, two-litre turbocharged petrol engine which delivers maximum torque of 280Nm at 2,600rpm and peak power of 200hp at 5,800rpm. Attached to a manual six-speed gearbox, the turbo lets Mégane Coupé Concept go from zero to 62 mph in just 7.2 seconds, yet it returns economical fuel consumption of just 6.5 litres/100km. Porsche and their internal Porsche Design Studio have rolled out a limited edition of Cayman S Porsche Design Edition 1 coupes in a stealth black exterior. In the inside, the car features black leather and Alcantara upholstery, a black dashboard, and a black three spoke steering wheel. You also receive a special briefcase that includes a Flat Six Chronograph, a pocket knife, sunglasses, pen, and a key ring. 777 models of the Porsche Design Edition 1 will be built and will be available in January 2008 for around $80,000.
The Alfa Romeo 8C Competizione was first shown at the 2006 Paris Auto Show. The car adopts a 4.7-liter, 450hp V8 engine, carbon fiber body with steel chassis, a 6-speed robotic gearbox, and 20 inch wheels. It will be out for sale in late 2008 for $200,000. See one more pic after the break.
