Genius Drops two New Pen-Tablet PCs

Genius M609 and M712 Pen Tablets

Genius is releasing two new pen-tablet PCs known as the G-Pen M712 and M609. They come with Vista / Mac-compatible software, 4,000 LPI resolutions, rolling pads at the top for scrolling, zooming and adjusting volume. The M609 features a display of 9- x 5.5-inches (wide) / 7.25- x 5.5-inches (standard) 26 hot keys while the M712 feature a display of 12- x 7.25-inches (wide) / 9.5- x 7.25-inches (standard) and 34 hot keys. Toshiba Ripple Tablet Note T8300

Pixel Lab of Korea, will be dropping their Ripple Tablet Note T8300 in Korea very soon. The T8300 comes with a Penryn T8300 2.4GHz processor along with an enhanced touch panel that supports stylus and finger use, optional 3.5G HSDPA wireless connectivity, 1.3 megapixel webcam, and a 7-in-1 memory card reader. Looks like DRS is following Dell’s lead because they just dropped 2 new laptops that don’t mind taking a beating. The Armor C12 which features a 12.1-inch outdoor readable touchscreen, 1.2GHz ULV U1400 CPU, 512MB of DDR2 RAM, a 60GB shock-mounted HDD, full-sized keyboard, integrated wifi, ethernet, PCMCIA, a biometric scanner and a die-cast magnesium case. Motion Computing F5 Slate PC

Doctors will certainly be impressed by this new medical tablet PC by Motion Computing called the F5. This rough and tough tablet is dust, water, shock and temperature resistant, features a 1.2GHz Intel Centrino U1400 processor, 10.4-inch XGA (1,024 x 768) display, 40GB HDD, built-in 802.11a/b/g and bluetooth, WWAN (EV-DO) support and a 2-megapixel camera, optional barcode reader, integrated RFID reader / passive tag, a biometric scanner, three USB 2.0 ports, Ethernet, VGA output and a battery with a life of 3.5 hours. Nokia N800 Internet Tablet

Nokia showcased their new internet tablet at the 3GSM 2007. The N800 is just like a laptop and can be taken anywhere. You can connect to the net either by WLAN or Wi-Fi or through your mobile phones using either your bluetooth headset or for non-bluetooth phones USB. It features a wide (800×480) touch-screen and has support for email, video call, zoom in/out, full QWERTY keyboard, VoIP, two memory card slots, and is compatible with SD, microSD, MMC, and RS-MMC. Unfortunately there is no word on pricing or availability at the moment.

It comes with a 7-inch display (1,024 x 600 resolution), Intel Menlow processor, 1GB of DDR2 RAM, a 60GB hard drive, 802.11b/g WiFi, Bluetooth 2.0, a biometric fingerprint reader and a 4-cell battery. No word on pricing or release info.

This year is beginning to look great for HP. Their new TX2000 tablet pc features decent specs and looks even better! It features a webcam ,an integrated microphone, Pavilion HDX, a 512MB NVIDIA GeForce 8800M GTS graphics set, an optional Core 2 Extreme processor, Blu-ray / HD DVD support and a 20.1-inch WUXGA (1,920 x 1,200) XHD Ultra Brightview display along with four Altec Lansing speakers and a built-in “subwoofer,” an eSATA port, hybrid analog / digital TV tuner, room for two HDDs and a media remote. Not to mention a cheap retail price of $1299. Watch out for this beauty in the near future.

It features standard features such as: 2.2GHz AMD Turion 64 X2 TL-64 processor, Geforce Go 6150 graphics, 2GB of RAM, a 250GB hard drive, a DVD burner, and built-in 802.11n WiFi and Bluetooth. Purchase this one for a sweet price of $1200 at Notebook Italia.
