
Here is a leaked video of the Microsoft Courier Tablet that was announced by the company last week. The video provides an overview of the interface and Courier’s features, and more of how you would actually use it if you are not a designer. The heart of Courier appears to what’s called the “infinite journal,” which means a journal/scrapbook that is endless. Wacom today released four new products from its Bamboo series in the form of the Bamboo, Bamboo Fun, Bamboo Pen and Bamboo Touch. These Tablets adopt a new Multi-Touch technology that provides you with a natural way to work by allowing you to use simple finger taps and hand gestures to navigate, scroll through documents, zoom in and out of photos, and more. This technology senses input from more than one finger at a time, making it possible for you to use intuitive multi-finger motions to perform common commands.
The Wacom Bamboo provides pen and multi-touch input in a single device and is ideal for consumers in the home office or workplace. It can be used to customize emails, letters, spreadsheets, presentations and documents with signatures, notes, doodles and scribbles. The Wacom Bamboo is priced at £74.99($120).
The Bamboo Fun also combines pen and multi-touch input. Available in two sizes – small and medium, the gadget is a versatile device ideal for consumers who are keen to develop their creative skills. Archos has unveiled more info about their upcoming touchscreen tablet, the Archos 9. This 9-inch tablet is powered by an Intel Atom processor, up to 120GB disk drive, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth connectivity and Microsoft’s Windows 7 operating system. Other features include a 1GB of RAM, a lithium-ion battery, webcam, and the virtual keyboard. It also comes bundled several softwares including Microsoft Office and Skype. Green-House is famous for its LCD display and Digital Picture Frame. The company today introduced its latest GH-PTB17-E 17-inch tablet that provides an SXGA resolution (1280 x 1024) with an 800:1 contrast ratio and a 300 cd/m3 brightness level. Word has it that the much anticipated Apple Tablet will be officially launched in 2010. Unfortunately, there is no info pricing so far. The giant mobile carrier Verizon apparently will release another Apple product before the year’s end. Known as the Apple tablet computer, the gadget may look like a larger iPod Touch. It supports a 9-inch or 10-inch touchscreen display and maybe a keyboard too. According to The Street, “an initial version” of the Apple tablet will be offered by Verizon Wireless, subsidized. Wacom has officially launched their new Intuos4 graphics tablet range on the company’s European website. The new tablet is available in 4 different sizes including small size 6.2 x 3.9 inches, medium size 8.8 x 5.5 inches, large size 12.8 x 8 inches and extra-large size 19.2 x 12 inches, each with 5,080 lpi resolution and 2,048 pressure levels. The Genius G-Pen F509 Tablet provides a 5.25 inch x 8. 75 inch working area, 26 programmable hotkeys and 1,024 level pressure sensitivity, which means you can control thickness and shapes easily as you write or draw. Wacom comes back with another tablet for graphics professionals. The Cintiq 12WX is an ergonomically designed product with a WXGA resolution of 1,280 x 800 pixels with 24-bit colour depth and a wide viewing angle of 170°. This 12.1-inch tablet also offers the ExpressKeys and Touch Strips. It will be available from November for $1679 and will support XP, Vista, and OS X operating system.
