Word has it that Huawei will introduce the Huawei S7 Slim tablet at the MWC 2011 next week. The Huawei S7 Slim is an updated version of the original S7. Unfortunetely, there is no further info about the specification of this gadget. Japanese telecommunications company Nakayo is ready to launch a new fixed line home phone that features an integrated 7-inch Android tablet. When receiving a call, users can pick up the handset to speak, push a button on the tablet to make a hands-free call or take the tablet out, walk around and speak into its mic. This new phone system also supports the Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) and the Google Android 2.2 OS. What’s more, the tablet also features a web browser, video calls, Wi-Fi IEEE802.11b/g, a 800 x 480 resolution display, a USB port, a 0.3MP CMOS camera and a microSDHC slot (up to 32GB). Nakayo plans to release this fixed line phone in July 2011 for the Japanese market. The company expects to sell some 30,000 units within 2 years. No word on pricing at this time. [MobileCrunch]

HTC Flyer 7-inch Android Tablet Unveiled

Here is a leaked picture of the upcoming Android tablet from HTC. Codenamed Flyer, the device is powered by the Google Android 2.3 (Gingerbread), which is upgradeable to version 3.0 (Honeycomb). As a competitor to the Samsung Galaxy Tab, the Flyer features a 7-inch (1024 x 600) touchscreen, a 1GHz Qualcomm MSM8255 single-core chipset, a front-facing 1.3-megapixel camera, a rear-facing 5MP camera with LED flash, HSPA (allowing for up to 14.4Mbps via the cellular network), a HDMI output and DLNA support for easy data streaming to various consumer electronics. The HTC Flyer is expected to launch in March 2011 and will be followed by a 10-inch model that may include LTE (Long Term Evolution) support. [TCMagazine]

Best Buy will launch the Motorola Xoom on February 17th, 2011, three days later than the original February 14 estimated launch date, and a week later after the Verizon iPhone 4 will be launched. The Motorola Xoom will come with a 32GB of internal memory, a 10.1-inch 1280 x 800 display, a 1GHz dual-core Tegra 2, a 5-megapixel camera with 720p video recording capabilities, a 1080p video playback, 802.11n Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 2.1 + EDR. MSI Unveils Tablet Concept With An Built-in Projector

MSI has recently unveiled a new tablet that comes equipped with an integrated swivel projector. The gadget is powered by the Microsoft Windows 7 OS and has a 10-inch display. The MSI WindPad U100W Windows 7 tablet will be launched in France next month for 550 Euros ($730). This tablet comes equipped with MSI’s custom wind Touch UI, a 10-inch touchscreen display, a 1.66GHz Intel Atom Z530 processor, a 2GB of RAM, a 32GB SSD, a couple of USB ports, an HDMI out, a webcam and the Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium OS.
