The TAXAN MeoTune is a WiFi-enabled 1-Seg TV tuner for iOS devices and Android smartphones. The portable TV tuner receives local TV channels through regular airwaves, and then transfers the content to smartphones via a WiFi connectivity. Users can view TV programs using an app on their smartphone. The MeoTune comes with a built-in rechargeable battery, offering up to 4-hour of operation time. Taxan Japan has recently released their latest MID, the Meopad (MEO-T740). Powered by the Microsoft Windows CE version 6.0 R3, the MID comes equipped with a 7-inch (800×480) LED backlight touchscreen, a Tegra chipset (nVidia APX 2600 TEGRA 600MHz), a 4GB of NAND memory, a 512MB of RAM, Wi-Fi b/g, a mini HD port and a G-Sensor. The MEO-T740 also supports 720p video as well as YouTube Video thanks to FlashLite. The Taxan Meopad (MEO-T740) will be available at the end of October 2010 in Japan at around 40,000 Yen ($466). Here’s the latest addition to Taxan’s DLP projector series, the KG-PH1004XS. Measuring 312mm x 250mmx 100mm and weighing 3.7kg, the projector provides an XGA (1024 x 768) resolution, 2,000:1 contrast ratio, 3,000 lumens brightness and is capable of producing 76-inch images from 1m distance. In addition, it also comes with several connectivity ports including HDMI, DVI-I, USB and RS232C. The KG-PH1004XS is now available in Japan for $2,600. Read more
