Panasonic has released the SC-BT100 home theater system for the US this Spring for $1,000. It features a special connection to external devices, such as a video recorder or console, a Blu-ray player that supports just Profile 1.1, and functions without wires and bulky cords. Onkyo BASE-V20HD 2.1 Home Theater System

Onkyo will be launching their new BASE-V20HD 2.1 theater system in Japan in 2 weeks. The BASE-V20HD has support for HDMI 1.3a and is compatible with TrueHD, DTS-HD, Dolby NR. No word on a price yet, but it shouldn’t be all that bad. [Akihabara]
