Oregon Scientific RMR802 Solar-powered Thermometer

The Oregon Scientific RMR802 Solar-Powered Thermometer is an ultra-thin temperature station that displays both indoor and outdoor temperature, in addition to maintaining accurate time via the radio-controlled clock display. The thermometer displays temperatures in degrees Celsius or Fahrenheit, as well as store the maximum and minimum temperatures for that day. What makes this electronic thermometer special is that it will light up the LED Ice Alert if the external temperature sensor detects freezing temperatures. Additionally, the clock and calendar on the Oregon Scientific RMR802 are automatically set to the right time and date according to the DCF or MSF radio signal from an atomic clock based in the UK or Germany. The main unit draws its power from a couple of AAA batteries and a solar panel to extend the life of the internal battery, meanwhile the outdoor remote temperature sensor is powered by a single AA battery. The Oregon Scientific RMR802 thermometer is now available via Amazon UK for £27.99 ($45). [Amazon UK]
