Made by Jaeger LeCoultre and designed by Mark Newson, the Atmos 561 Clock is encased in a big block of crystal for good measure and is powered only by changes in temperature. A change in temperature of one degree Celsius can power the clock for two days. Its power source is a capsule that contains gas and ethyl chloride that reacts to the temperature change and expands against a spring in a chamber, which then converts its stored potential energy into clock power.
