
The Toshiba Gigashot GSC-DW1 DVD burner allows you to connect a DV Cam and burn the video on a DVD disc without using PC. The burner features a USB port for connecting digital cameras and storing the photographs on a disc. The Gigashot GSC-DW1 also sports HDMI output to view the recorded content on the monitor. Measuring 238mm × 167mm × 61mm and weighing 1050grams, the Toshiba Gigashot GSC-DW1 DVD burner will be released in Japan on March 17 for $170. [Toshiba]

Toshiba has announced that they will be releasing two new satelite laptops called the U400 and L300. The L300 features a 5.4-inch 1,280 x 800 resolution panel, a 1.3-megapixel camera, integrated wifi and several ports. The U400, has a 13.3-inch display, ATI Mobility Radeon graphics, built-in Harman Kardon speakers, integrated webcam / microphone, bluetooth and wifi. No word on pricing or an exact drop date. The new Dynabook Satellite TWX/69 is now available at the Toshiba online store. The limited edition notebook comes jam packed with a 2.50GHz Penryn Core 2 Duo (T9300) processor, PM965 Express chipset, Radeon HD2600 video card, 2GB RAM, 120GB HDD, DVD burner, and a 15.4 inch monitor. There’s a new phone by Toshiba & Softbank in Japan based on the cartoon series Transformers called the 815T PB Transformer Cell Phone. Emobile has dropped 2 new phones for their Spring collection:starting with the Toshiba H11T which features a 3.2MPx digicam, bluetooth, audio/video player, microSD port. Toshiba will release three new portable DVD players. The SD-P91DT has a 9” LCD, and 1Seg Digital TV tuner. The SD-P71DT has a 7” LCD 1Seg TV tuner and the SD-P71S that doesn’t have a 1Seg Digital TV tuner. All three will drop sometime soon for around $513. [Link]

Here comes another smart phone by Toshiba known as the Portege G810. it features built-in GPS and A-GPS, WiFi and Bluetooth along with a 2.8-inch QVGA touch screen, a 3 megapixel camera, a microSD card slot for expansion and an FM radio. The Protege also has support for HSDPA and HSUPA. Pricing is still unknown, but Europe should be receiving this phone in the 2nd quarter sometime this year.

Japan will be launching the Toshiba Gigabeat T802 on February 15th. The T802 wireless features an 8GB storage capacity, support for popular audio formats, WMV support, and 16 hours of battery life. The Toshiba Gigabeat will be going for $280.

Toshiba has new 1.8 hard drives that were previewed at CES 2008 that come in Carbon Gray, Hot Rod Red and Gecko Green. They’re able in 60GB, 80GB and 120GB versions that come with backup and encryption software. If space is an issue you may want to try the 320GB model for $199.99. No price is available for the 1.8 versions right now however they are said to release sometime in Spring.
