
The Toshiba REGZA 19P2 TV comes with a removable battery, which provides enough juice for up to 5-hour. The 19-inch TV features a 1Seg digital TV tuner, a LED backlight panel, an HDMI port, a 1366 x 768 resolution, a 1000:1 contrast ratio and a “Peak Shift” button on the remote control, which allows you to switch the TV from AC mode to battery mode. Toshiba has recently unveiled the new Toshiba AT100 Android tablet. Powered by a 1GHz dual-core nVidia Tegra 2 processor, the gadget features a 10.1-inch capacitive touchscreen with a resolution of 1280 x 800, HDMI and USB ports, a removable battery, the Google Android 3.0 “Honeycomb” OS, Wi-Fi, a 1GB of RAM and a 16GB of internal memory. The tablet also has a front-facing 2-megapixel camera that acts as a webcam for video calling, and a 5-megapixel camera on the rear that takes still photo and records standard definition video. The Toshiba AT100 will be available in Australia later this month for $579. Toshiba Europe today introduced the new Toshiba UL863 LED TV series that comes with a face recognition feature. The Toshiba UL863 is able to identify up to four users and automatically selects their personal settings. Via an embedded WLAN interface, the LED TV easily connects wirelessly to the home network and provides access to Toshiba Places, Toshiba’s Web-based content and service platform for laptops and TVs. Additionally, the Toshiba UL863 LED TV series also supports HbbTV, the European standard for providing an open platform that seamlessly combines TV services delivered via broadcast with services delivered via broadband. Toshiba has just showcased another one of its upcoming Windows-based tablet at Computex 2011. Called the WT110, the device packs an 11.6-inch 1366 x 768 capacitive touchscreen display, a 1.5GHz Intel Atom Z670 Oak Trail processor, a couple of capacitive touch buttons on the side for various Windows functions and runs on Windows 7 OS. Toshiba today introduced a new Windows 7 tablet in Japan, the WT310/C. Powered by an Intel Atom Oak Trail Z670 CPU, the tablet features a 11.6-inch (1366×768) display screen, a 2GB of RAM, a 64GB of SSD, USB 2.0, WI-Fi, an SDXC card slot, Bluetooth 3.0 and HDMI. Toshiba’s Thrive 10-inch Honeycomb tablet is now up for pre-order at J&R. The 8GB Thrive is available for $449.99, while the 32GB model is priced at $579.99. The Toshiba Thrive features the Google Android 3.0 Honeycomb OS, a 1GHz dual core Tegra 2 processor, a “wide viewing angle” 1280 x 800 display, a 2MP front-facing camera and a 5MP rear camera with Auto Focus. Toshiba hits back with a new line of USB 3.0 external hard drives called the STOR.E Edition. Available in three different storage capacities: 500GB, 750GB and 1TB, these plug and play hard drives feature a colored casing with a grooved texture, a USB 3.0 connection interface and are pre-loaded with Nero BackItUp & Burn Essentials software.
