Available in capacities ranging from 4GB to 16GB, these plug-and-play drives make use of high-speed dual-channel technology for faster storing, transferring and sharing of multimedia files, and provide read and write speeds of up to 32MB/s and 18MB/s, respectively. Transcend has once again expanded its CompactFlash card line-up by announcing the 400X series. Coming in 16GB, 32GB and 64GB capacities, these new cards are fully compliant with CompactFlash 4.1 specifications and capable of delivering high-speed transfer rates of up to 90MB/s read and 60MB/s write. Transcend has introduced the new addition to its StoreJet external hard drive series. Known as the StoreJet 35T, this compact 3.5-inch drive is available in 1TB and 1.5TB storage capacities and features a USB 2.0 connection interface, a OneTouch auto-backup button and makes use of Transcend’s TurboHDD USB technology for enhanced transfer speeds. In addition, the drive also comes bundled with StoreJet Elite software that offers advanced 256-bit AES file and folder encryption. Transcend has announced the availability of its MP330 digital audio player for the mass market. Transcend has released a new SSD25D Solid State Drive that provides up 64MB of integrated DRAM cache and comes in 60GB and 120GB storage space. The drive boasts transfer speeds of up to 230MB/s read and 180MB/s write and around 1ms latency. The SSD25D also features an industry-standard 3.0Gb/s SATA II interface and 2.5-inch form factor to allow easy and straightforward user installation in most notebooks and desktop computers, just like a conventional hard drive.
