Besides the JetFlash T3, Transcend also introduced the JetFlash V90C, which is a stylish key-chain flash drive with 4GB capacity. The flash drive is “designed for business travelers and people who need to carry data effortlessly while on the move.” No word on pricing or availability so far.

Transcend JetFlash T3 USB Flash Drive

The JetFlash T3 is an “ultra-tiny” flash drive that is designed to be extra-rugged. Measuring 30.2mm x 12.3mm x 2.4mm, the device uses a special COB (Chip On Board) manufacturing technique that “molds the memory chip and circuit board into the drive’s unbreakable Polycarbonate casing.” The t3 is currently available in 1GB and 2GB storage capacities.

Transcend 160GB StoreJet 2.5 SATA External HDD

Transcend today unveiled a new external hard drive in StoreJet line up with 160GB storage capacity. The device comes in a polished aluminum case and is based on SATA interface that offers transfer rates up to 480Mbits per second. This 2.5-inch external hard drive also sports transfer rates of up to 1.5Gb/s via “point to point” data connections and saves power with its low operating voltage. In addition, Transcend’s 160GB StoreJet 2.5 SATA External HDD comes bundled with an OneTouch Auto-Backup function.

Priced at $149, the JetFlash 220 provides fingerprint scanner, 256-bit AES encryption, and a max capacity of 8GB. Otherwise, there is the JetFlash V35 offering the same max capacity in Grimace-grape only without all the security features for around $141. Both flash drives are available in Japan on August and the rest of world shortly thereafter.

Transcend has released its 8GB 40-pin Vertical High Speed IFM (IDE Flash Module), which is the highest capacity in its class. With built-in ECC(Error Correction Code) functionality and lower power consumption, it is compatible with devices and OS that supports the IDE standard. Measuring 61.0mm x 26.9mm x 7.1mm, the memory modules are available in capacities from 32MB to 8GB. Pricing info is still unknown.

Transcend today released a new Transcend ExpressCard/34 SSD with 32GB of storage capacity. It is perfect for use as a mobile storage solution in notebook computers with ExpressCard slot. The device supports USB 2.0 and PCI Express applications, as well as ReadyBoost function. Other features include built-in ECC (Error Correction Code) functionality and wear-leveling algorithm that ensures highly reliable data transfer. Transcend ExpressCard/34 SSD 32GB retails for $509.
