Samsung has confirmed the availability of the 46-inch transparent display. The LCD display provides a contrast ratio of 4500:1, up to 1366×768 pixel resolution and a 70 percent color gamut. Samsung has decided to start the mass production of 22-inch transparent displays. These transparent panels will be produced in black-and-white and color variants and will have a transparency rate of over 20 percent and over 15 percent, respectively. Samsung’s transparent LCD panels are also energy efficient, which consumes 90 percent less power compared to a regular LCD display. The Samsung 22-inch transparent LCD display supports WSXGA+(1680×1050) resolution, a contrast ratio of 500:1, HDMI and USB support. [SamsungHub]
The FH001 is a new design from Ferguson Hill that produces 3 to 50 watts. It was made of clear acrylic and have a ultra high efficiency design. The FH001 transparent speakers are not cheap. Its spherical subwoofer retails a hefty $26,000. [Newlaunches]
