The Sony BDP-CX7000ES Mega Disc Changer allows you to load up to 400 Blu-ray discs. The player can automatically download Gracenote MusicID and VideoID data via an Ethernet connection, saving all of the information (including cover art) that you need to easily navigate disc titles onscreen. The navigation menu is also easy, thanks to the familiar Sony “Xross” media bar interface. The Sony BDP-CX7000ES also features an advanced DVD upscaling system. Audio support includes Dolby TrueHD, Dolby Digital Plus, DTS-HD and DTS-HD Master Audio 7.1 channel sound. If you are interested, you can buy the Sony BDP-CX7000ES Mega Disc Changer for between $1798 to $1899. [technabob]

Samsung is upgrading their earlier BD-P1200 blu-ray model with these BD-P1400 and BD-2400 players in Sept/Oct respectively. There’s nothing really significant to these upgrades besides the audio format support for Dolby TrueHD and DTS HD. They both come with the standard 24 frame support, HDMI 1.3, and ethernet as the old model. You can get the 1400 for $549 and the 2400 for $599, the only difference is that the 1400 lacks that mind-blowing HQV video processor. But if you’re itching for HD entertainment we suggest grabbing today’s 1200 at $599, it’s not exactly worth waiting a couple of months unless you’re a fan of minor tweaks.
