The Sony VGF-DT1 is just an ordinary TV tuner with a cooler design than the Apple TV. It has a digital TV tuner and a variety of AV outputs including Ethernet and HDMI. This external TV tuner is actually an accessory for Vaio TP1 media center PC’s. Measuring 270mm ×270mm ×51mm and weighing 1.7Kg, the Sony VGF-DT1 is now available in Japan for $415.

Japanese Arisawa Mfg. Co. offers in Japan the Teleglass, which is a single lens wearable video and TV glasses solution. It consists of 0.24 inch LCD panel and a lens that generates a virtual image of 21 inch in size viewed from a meter away. Arisawa sells the Teleglass for about $429. FYI, the company plans to release a version with integrated TV tuner in 2007.
