
Still remember the Viliv N5 UMPC that we posted in December last year? The Korean electronics manufacturer has decided to release this gadget next month or so. Priced at around $500 a pop, the Viliv N5 UMPC is powered by a 1.33GHz Intel Atom Z520 processor, Microsoft Windows 7 Starter OS, a QWERTY keyboard, a 4.8-inch (1024 x 600 pixel) display, a 32GB SSD, a 1GB DDR2 RAM, GPS, a 1.3-megapixel camera, Wi-Fi, HSPA/TD-SCDMA/EVDO/WiMAX connectivity, an optical joystick mouse and a microSDHC card slot. Viliv today unveiled a spanking new UMPC in the form of the S10 Blade. Tipping the scales at 2.67 pounds, the Windows 7 Home Premium-powered convertible netbook features a 10.1-inch multitouch display at 1,366 x 768 resolution, a 512MB RAM, an Intel Atom processors (a 1.6 GHz Z530 or a 2.0 GHz Z550), a Solid State Drive, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 2.0 +EDR connectivity. Viliv claims that the S10 Blade will provide yp to 10 hours of run-time or seven hours of video playback. No info on pricing or availability at this time. [jkOnTheRun]

The SK3 is the latest 7-inch convertible touchscreen netbook from Kohjinsha, which is set to be released this week. It will be an improved version of their previously released SC3 UMPC and will feature a 7-inch touchscreen display with 1024 x 600 resolution, a 1.3GHz Menlow platform, a 1GB RAM, a 60GB hard drive, GPS, a dual camera, an SD card slot, a PCI Express card slot, a VGA-out, a LAN connection, WiFi module and support Windows 7 OS. Here is another cool device CuPC-P80, a developmental UMPC that only needs 12 Volts DC power, which means it can easily be hooked up to your car. You only need to connect it to some USB GPS and broadband modem and you got a mobile station right there on your car. This CuPC-P80 runs AMD Geode LX800 500Mhz processor, 512MB of DDR, and 4GB of Flash harddrive. The gadget also comes with bunch of serial ports and RS485 for industrial automation. Korean electronics company Samsung will release the Samsung NP-Q1EX that comes jam packed with a 7 inch WSVGA touchscreen display at 1,024 × 600 resolution, a camera, VIA Isaiah processor, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity. The latest OQO model 2+ with 1.86GHz Intel Atom CPU has been unveiled at CES 2009. This portable gadget features an OLED display, worldwide 3G capability, and 2GB RAM, which is perfect for those who are always on the go. The OQO model 2+ also boasts Qualcomm’s Gobi global mobile Internet solution, which supports both of the world’s leading 3G cellular standards. Japanese netbook manufacturer Kohjinsha has recently introduced the new UMPC with Intel Atom CPU. Dubbed as the Kohjinsha SC3, the gadget is powered by a 1.33GHz Intel Atom Z520 CPU, 1GB of RAM, 60GB of HDD, a 7 inch wide touchscreen LCD with LED backlight, an internal GPS (optional), WiFi b/g, Bluetooth, and 1.3MP webcam. Meanwhile, the Kohjinsha SX3 UMPC features with the same specs, but with a larger screen size of 8.9 Inch, and a DVD Super Multi Drive. Both UMPCs will be released next month. Mobile Intelligent Ubiquitous (MIU) has unveiled the third generation of its Hybrid Dual Portable Computer (HDPC). The new model offers a 4.1 inch TFT display (800 x480 resolution), a 2.4 inch AMOLED internal display (320 x 240 resolution), ARM processor for menial tasks, Intel Atom processor, Windows CE operating system and DMB navigation capability.
