Toshiba will be releasing a DVD player featuring HDMI output the end of June called the SD-590J. The DVD player can show an image in 1080p, uses 192kHz/24-bit audio DACs and 54 MHz/14-Bit Video DAC, and can read MP3/WMA audio files and DivX files, and a JPEG image. You can get one for a retail price of about 80€. [Akihabara]

Hanton has showcased its in-dash car DVD player called the HT-430 during China Sourcing Fairs at AsiaWorld-Expo, Hong Kong. The HT430 features a 4.3-ich 16:9 wide touchscreen, is compatible with DVD/CD/VCD/MP3/MPEG4, has a built-in GPS function, bluetooth, built-in TV and AM/FM radio tuner. Aude of China will be launching their new 7-inch portable DVD video player called the PDVD-8028 during China Sourcing Fairs at AsiaWorld-Expo, Hong Kong. It comes with a 16:9 wide screen, support for DVB-T, analog TV, game, card reader, TV recorder and MPEG4 support, and 3 hours of playing time with the provided rechargeable lithium battery. [AVING]

Philips has just released the new DCP951 DVD player. The DCP951 has support for DVD along with support for DVD +/-R and DVD +/-RW, VCD, DivX, and MPEG4 movies. The DVD player doubles as an iPod touch dock,so you can view and charge at ease. The DCP951 also has an SD/MMC memory card slot to view short movies and digital photos files and has a 9″ LCD display. Sony has announced that the DVP-FX720 DVD player will be available in Japan and will in addition, carry a “white†model. [Akihabara]

Sony has announced the release of the new BDZ series Blu-ray recorders called the A70 and high-end T90. Both depend on AVC (H.264) encoding coming with either the 320GB or 500GB hard drives. You convert videos into portable formats. Other features include both analog and digital TV tuners, Sony’s Room Link, HDMI output, S-Video, and RCA. You can find both of these in Japan April 30th starting from $1,664 upwards. No word on if either of these will hit the States unfortunately. [Electronista]

Sony has released a new DVR called the T90. It has better video quality recordings, true cinema 24p support, a 500GB HDD, a blu-ray player and recorder, 2 analog, digital TV tuners, Sony Room Link support, and enhanced programming features. No word on pricing or when it will drop, so until then you’ll have to stick to the BDZ-A70. [Akihabara] More

Looks like Sony will be releasing another DVD-player similar to the DVP-NS53P called the DVP-NS700H. The only difference is that this one has a few minor adjustments such as an HDMI output and an upscaling function. The DVP-NS700H is now available in Japan for about 10.000JPY or 100€. It’s not the best deal Sony has proposed, but if you’re willing to pay that much then we wont stop you. [Akihabara]
