The Infrared Flashlight Video Recorder

Hammacher Schlemmer is out with another state of the art gadget, this time in the form of a flashlight. Unlike normal flashlights, this flashlight is claimed to be the only Infrared Flashlight Video Recorder around. The main 3-watt white LED is surrounded by 17 infrared LEDs, which is capable of providing night vision illumination up to 13 feet for nighttime recording. Video and snapshots are done at 30 fps with 640 x 480 resolution. The flashlight comes with 128MB of internal memory for up to 15 seconds of video and 500 snapshots and also supports up to a 2GB mini-SD card. Other features includes a built-in microphone (for sound) and an LCD screen indicates battery life remaining, recording format, time, date and storage capacity. The flashlight runs on 3 C batteries that provide up to three hours of operation (as light; one hour for video). The device will set you back $399.95. [Hammacher via Gizmowatch]

Amadana SAL Pocket Video Recorder

Japanese manufacturer Amadana has recently rolled out the SAL pocket video recorder that records video in MPEG4 format and capture 3MP picture with its CMOS image sensor. Measuring 54mm x 95mm x 12mm and weights at only 85 grams, the portable gadget also offers 2GB of internal memory. You can also transfer video and picture files to you PC or laptop via USB port.
