
Samsung has recently introduced the Smart Touch Remote Control. The remote features a voice recognition capability and a built-in touchpad. The voice recognition capability will be supported in the Samsung ES8000 Smart TV, while the trackpad enables easier web browsing on the Smart TV. LG has unveiled the next generation of LG Magic Motion remote control that enables you to select TV channels with hand gestures. The new LG Magic Motion also features a voice recognition for text input, a new 3D button, a scroll wheel and a “Magic Gestures”. The company will introduce this remote control at CES 2012. ETRI (Electronics and Telecommunications Research Institute) has recently introduced a new voice-recognizing navigation system that will be released later this month in Korea. The device has the ability to recognize your voice thanks to FineDrive Bio technology from FineDigital. This new technology has a working vocabulary of 450,000 words.
