Samsung today launched the YP-VP2 slim voice recorder. Measuring at just 11.9mm thick, the gadget comes jam packed with a new 1.1-inch color LCD display, a 2GB of internal memory, a microSD card slot (up to 16GB), an FM Radio, an MP3 playback and a PCM Linear recording mode. The Samsung YP-VP2 also adopts the Samsung dedicated SoundAlive technology and Voice Only PlayBack. Sony has decided to release a trio of new IC recorders in Europe. Dubbed as the ICD-SX712D, ICD-UX512 and ICD-PX312, these IC recorders come equipped with a 2GB of internal memory, which is expandable using microSD cards or M2 memory cards. The Sony ICD-SX712D and ICD-UX512 feature Linear PCM recording, MP3 recording and dual Stereo microphones. These gadget are also compatible with MP3, AAC, WMA, WAV and LPEC file formats. Olympus has unveiled a couple of new linear PCM voice recorders in Japan, the LS-7 and DS-800. The Olympus LS-7 comes equipped with a 24bit/96kHz Linear PCM (WAV) recording mode and the Olympus DVM technology, allowing you to fine tune your recording direction. The LS-7 supports WMA and MP3 files and provides a 4GB of internal memory, which is expandable via a microSD/SDHC card slot. The Olympus DS-800 has a 16bit/48kHz Linear PCM (WAV) recording mode, a microSD/SDHC slot, a 4GB of internal memory and supports WMA or MP3 files.
