
Sony today unveiled the latest Waterproof W250 Walkman that is designed for sport and active lifestyles. The W250 is currently available in a 2GB and a 4GB of storage spaces and supports most of famous music file formats including MP3, WMA, AAC, and Linear PCM. This MP3 player also uses the ZAPPIN technology that scans through stored tracks, playing a short sample from each song to help you find the right music for that moment. If you’re in a hurry to get active, a quick 3-minute charge gives enough power for 90 minutes listening time. A fully charged battery provides up to 11 hours of continuous playback time. Sony today unveiled the NAS-V5 and NAS-V7M Walkman speaker docks that sport Wi-Fi connectivity, allowing you to enjoy Internet radio. Both Walkman docks also feature 32-bit DSPs that ensure you will be able to enjoy crisp and clear audio quality. Other features include an AM/FM radio, an AUX jack and a powered USB port. The 50,000 Yen ($535) Sony NAS-V7M has a 16GB of storage space that allows you to rip your audio CD collection onto it with the touch of a button, while the 40,000 Yen ($428) Sony NAS-V5 doesn’t have a storage space. Sony will release their latest A-Series Walkman that comes with a touchscreen display. Measuring at just 7.2mm thin, the Sony NWA840 A-Series Walkman features a 2.8-inch OLED display with a TV-out function that can output 720 x 480 resolution video, a digital noise canceling, an S-Master digital amplifier, and an FM radio. The gadget supports MP3, WMA, AAC, HE-AAC, ATRAC, ATRAC AL, PCM/WAV, AVC (H2.64), MPEG-4 and WMV file formats. Available in 16GB, 32GB and 64GB models, the Sony NWA840 A-Series Walkman will go on sale in Japan next month for $263, $329, and $439, respectively. Sony Ericsson introduces a new member from its Walkman music phone series. Dubbed as the Sony Ericsson W205, the handset features a poor 1.3 megapixel camera with an integrated FM radio, TrackID for easy song identification, Bluetooth connectivity, and multiple phone books. Sony Ericsson has confirmed the new affordable W395 Walkman phone that has a 2MP camera, Bluetooth, a couple of stereo speakers, dedicated control keys for music, and FM Radio. Each purchase will come with a 1GB memory card and HPM-64 Stereo headset. The W395 Walkman supports GSM/GPRS/EDGE 850/900/1800/1900 and will be available in selected markets from Q1 in the Dusky Grey and Blush Titanium. [Slashphone via Upcoming Cell Phones]

Sony Ericsson and Vodafone’s W715 Walkman is a slider mobile phone that boasts a 3.2MP camera, Bluetooth, aGPS, WiFi, DLNA certified, 120MB memory, quad-band GSM, and 900 / 2100 HSDPA. The company will release this phone in Q1 2009. [Engadget Mobile via Upcoming Cell Phones]

Sony has just released its first Bluetooth (A2DP) enabled PMPs; the NW-A829 (16GB) and NW-A828 (8GB). It supports MP3, WMA, ATRAC Advanced Lossless, Sony PCM, and AAC and HE-AAC audio file formats. It has a 2.4-inch (320 x 240) LCD display with 9.3mm wide and weighing at only 59g. No word on pricing or shipping dates as yet. [Akihabara]

If you’re worried about your iPod being stolen then here’s a good way to keep it safe without an alarm system. The Sony walkman iPod case resembles the ancient walkman but in fact it’s an iPod case. Now you can hide away your iPod and fool people into believing that you’re still into cassette tapes. =P

This month, Sony Ericsson will finally release the W880 walkman phone. It comes with a memory capacity to store up to 900 songs, a sleek stainless steel finish and supports a 2M camera. No word on the actual retail price of this slim music phone, but it shouldn’t be too bad.
