
Lexar today released its latest JumpDrive SAFE S3000 FIPS that features a hardware encryption and a tamper-resistant smart card to secure your important data. The device is also the world’s first smart card-based FIPS 140-2 Level 3 validated flash drive that protects stored data with smart card-based security with continuous AES 256-bit hardware encryption. The Lexar JumpDrive SAFE S3000 FIPS also has a waterproof metal housing that meets military 810-F waterproof standards. Available in capacities of 2GB, 4GB, and 8GB storage capacities, the JumpDrive SAFE S3000 FIPS will be available in select European markets in 2010. [Lexar]

A-DATA has announced its new waterproof and shock resistant portable HDD ‘SH93′ for the mass market. Coming in 250GB, 320GB, 500GB and 640GB capacities, these external HDDs feature a molded rubber-plastic case and special cushion materials making them both waterproof and shock resistant. In addition, these drives also meet the military’s MIL-STD-810F standard for drop resistance and can withstand being submerged in one meter of water for half an hour. AgfaPhoto just introduced the DC-600uw underwater and outdoor camera that can withstand pressures of up to two bar and water-resistant at depths of up to 10 meters. This 6MP digicam comes with a 2.4-inch display, a digital zoom, and the face tracking function that automatically recognizes faces. The Agfa DC-600uw will be released in July for $210. The WPC-500F waterproof desktop from Stealth Computers is waterproof and completely fanless, so I can be sure this computer is silent. The mini-desktop comes equipped with special cables for power, networking and peripherals which are also completely waterproof. The WPC-500F is priced at $1,995 for the basic model that comes with a 1.6GHz Intel Atom 33 processor, a 2GB RAM and a 80GB hard drive. It comes with either Windows XP, Vista or Linux. Known as the SV-ME850V, the gadget supports WMA, MP3 and AAC Audio files directly from SD and SDHC cards, and is capable to record TV up to 11hours (on a 32GB SDHC Card). Here’s another cool USB drive for your collection, the K95 USB drive. Designed by Moscow’s Man Works Design, the drive comes in the shape of a submarine and it’s waterproof as well. You can choose from either a 1GB or a 2GB version with four different colors to choose from including green, white, red and black. Unfortunately, there’s no word on pricing and availability yet. Fujifilm will release a waterproof point-and-shoot FinePix Z33WP camera next month. This 10-megapixel camera will be available in three distinct color schemes including black, green or pink. The Z33WP can drop down to depths of 10-feet. Sadly, it is not shockproof. Other cool features include a 3x optical zoom lens, Face Detection Technology, Automatic Red Eye Removal, SR Auto (auto scene recognition) and blog mode, which automatically resizes images to 640×480.
