Japanese Arisawa Mfg. Co. offers in Japan the Teleglass, which is a single lens wearable video and TV glasses solution. It consists of 0.24 inch LCD panel and a lens that generates a virtual image of 21 inch in size viewed from a meter away. Arisawa sells the Teleglass for about $429. FYI, the company plans to release a version with integrated TV tuner in 2007.
The Aliph Jawbone Bluetooth headset comes in a beautiful red color. Designed by the super talented Yves Behar, it supports Bluetooth connectivity and boasts noise-canceling technology in its microphones. Its noice-canceling technology is similar with the technology that used in the military. Available in red, black, or silver, Cingular sells the headset for $120 each. The Wireless Headphones SE2300 from Creative are fitted with an audio transmitter that has a range of ten meters. It also supports Bluetooth Advanced Audio Distribution Profile (A2DP), so you can synchronize these headphones to any USB Bluetooth dongle, Bluetooth-enabled PC, or PDA.
I think the SE2300 headphones are smart enough to manage its power consumption, since it automatically powers itself down when the Bluetooth link is dropped. The unit also warns you with a beeping sound when the battery is low. Its Li-Ion battery lasts for eight hours. The Creative Wireless Headphones SE2300 is now on sale in Singapore for $99.99.
Extreme sports wear company Marmot has launched a new glove called iGlove. It is supposed to be click-wheel compatible which basically means that you don’t have to take it off to use your iPod. Available only in black, the glove sells for $35 at Marmot.
No these aren’t snow boots, these are brand new vacuum cleaner shoes from Electrolux. It’s a concept design (seems like there’s quite a few going around these days) and there is not much information on the functionalities, like how the shoes will be powered, how it will create suction and how it will store dirt, etc. But I personally hate vacuum cleaning, so if this concept really works and they decide to mass produce it I would definitely wear them all day.
