Mitsubishi Wireless HDTV and Blu-ray

Mitsubishi has unveiled a two parts wireless HDTV system. The system will comprise of a very thin LCD screen (approx.1.5 inch), and then a separate Blu-ray optical drive box that also sends out the wireless signals to the TV. The Mitsubishi HDTV will incorporate AMIMON’s wireless technology, capable of delivering uncompressed HD video streams wirelessly. The wireless HDTV will enable flexible placement of HD source devices such as AVRs, DVRs, DVD players, set-top boxes (STBs) and game consoles anywhere within the room and throughout the home. The product is planned to release in the Japanese market this fall, expect to see it in the U.S. by next year. [Wired]

Sony BRAVIA Wireless HD Link DMX-WL1T

The Sony BRAVIA Wireless HD Video Link DMX-WL1T Module is a two-piece system that transmits uncompressed 1080i HD video and audio to a Sony DMex compatible BRAVIA HDTV, although the three IR Blaster ports located on the back of the device makes it seem that you will be able to control other third-party devices. Featuring four HDMI inputs, one component input, one digital audio input, and a stereo analog input, this device hopefully will support just about any home theater configuration. This will eliminate the hassle of in-wall wiring and multiple remotes. This product will debut in September or October, with rumor of price in the range of $350 – $500.  [SonyInsider]
