
The highly anticipated Yamaha’s new BD2900 Blu-ray player has been unveiled. The new Blu-ray player offers “BonusView” and supports for 1080p/24fps-compatible HDMI, and 12-bit Deep Color. You should have at least $1,200 if you want to buy the Yamaha BD2900 Blu-ray player. The player will be released in November 2008. [EngadgetHD]

It’s not everyday you get an iPod dock from Yamaha, so this means real business. The dock, dubbed the YDS-11SL, allows you to enjoy your tunes through your home entertainment system. The Yamaha YSP-3050 soundbar is a 21 beam drivers model that comes with two woofers, 23 corresponding digital amplifiers, three Cinema DSP programs (movie, music and sports), analog to HDMI video upconversion, high definition video upscaling to 1080i/720p and a 1080p (24Hz and 60Hz) compatible HDMI interface with two inputs and one output to facilitate pure digital connections with the latest home theater components. Yamaha and Koizumi have collaborated to release a new lightning speakers, the YST001. The system features 3 Halogen lamps of 25Watt with a remote control to adjust the brightness. The YST001 also provides a frequency response of 70Hz-35,000Hz and an impedance of 6Ω. The Yamaha YST001 is priced at €800. [Akihabara] More

The Yamaha-branded Deus Ex Machina concept motorcycle was designed by Art Center Pasadena student Jake Loniak. The concept bike is powered by ultra-capacitors and doped nano-phoshpate batteries and it is controlled using 36 pneumatic muscles with 2 linear actuators set along a spine consisting of seven artificial vertebrae. Its helmet is also pneumatically attached. The bike is claimed to have a top speed of 75mph and can reach 0 – 60mph in 3 seconds. [Green Car Design] More

Here is the Yamaha Pocketrak 2G stereo digital pocket recorder that boasts a 2GB of internal memory, 9 hours of recording time, integrated speakers, twin high sensitivity swivel microphones and USB connectivity.
