Yamaha will be launching a new all-in-one DVD and audio player called the DVX-1000. It features AIR SURROUND XTREME. The DVD player is compatible with video formats like DivX andDvix ULTRA, and MP3 and WMA audio files along with an HDMI output, USB port, and an AM/FM radio tuner. [Akihabara]

Japan will be getting a shipment of the new Yamaha TSX-100 iPod dock that also has an alarm, radio, and CD player. The CD player is also compatible with WMA and MP3 files and has an output of 2×12W. $586

Yamaha has recently released its new CD-S2000 SACD player and A-S2000 preamplifier that are capable of outputting SACD/CD and MP3/WMA audio with 190 watts per channel over a frequency range of 20-20,000 Hz. Both devices will be available in December for $3,400.

Here is Yamaha’s new portable conference system that utilities a 12-microphone array to capture sound. Dubbed as the Yamaha PJP-25UR, this gadget also provides eight microphones which are located in movable arms that could open to better fit the position of the people around a table. Measuring 9inch x 6inch x 1.33inch, this echo-canceling microphone retails in Japan for $550.

Yamaha’s Disklavier Grand piano can be hooked into the Disklavier Radio, an internet streaming service that can send MIDI files down the pipes of the piano storing them in the 80MB hard drive. They will even send accompaniment parts that can be heard through the piano’s speakers. If a piano playing by itself isn’t creepy enough, think about the ghosts that are up on today’s music.

The Yamaha Tesseract concept for Tokyo Motor Show features 4 wheels for enhanced stability, and is powered by both gasoline and electrical engine. The Tesseract has been equipped with a mechanism to keep the machine upright when stopped or when parked. No word on when this concept will go into mass production.
