Designed by Hai-Ling Zhong, the Markerfool is basically a portable color printer that is designed to provide a wide range of colors. The gadget has a touchscreen display that shows the right color for you to use. It is powered by a color transform chip, a CMYK ink box, and a rechargeable battery. The blues and greens that you see there means that you are mellow, but pink, red or orange means you are stressed. The gadget can also tell the current time. Sadly, it is only a concept. Designed by Jasper Hou, the Time Your Light is actually a LED light concept that is based on mechanical energy. You just need to rotate the timer base to start up the mechanism inside, and as it slowly unwinds, the stored energy powers the LED light. The Time Your Light is available in a variety of colors. Designer Aleksandr Mukomelov has created the Magic Stone phone that comes in a shaped of a diamond. Its casing is covered with a “nano material” converting the sunlight into the energy your phone needs to function. The phone can also be charged wirelessly with electromagnetic fields. Other features include a touch-screen, a holographic display, constant internet access, storage space, and some games. What makes this concept cool is that it has a holograph projector (ala Star Wars) created by a series of lasers. Read more
Rooz Mousavi has creatively designed the Samsonite OBAG which is actually a luggage that has a unique design. The travel bag comes with a rugged exterior that allows you to tote it easily even in the snow or other less than desirable weather conditions. Denis Guidone has creatively designed the Ora Unica, a unique watch concept that has won the Adamo Eva International Design Competition. The “Ora Unica” means One Hour in English. This timepiece consists of 2 circular faces – one depicting the minute hand while the other shows the hour hand. As time passes, the doodle somehow changes. [Yanko]
