Steven Chen, the co-founder of YouTube, has confirmed at the NewTeeVee Live conference that the YouTube video quality will be improved and will adapt to the user’s connection speed. CNET also reported that YouTube stores uploaded videos in their native resolution and creates a 320×240 copy before posting them to the website. It means that a videos that uploaded with higher resolution previously could be available when the new format releases.
