
ZTE has unveiled the new ZTE V66 Android tablet, which is destined for Verizon. The gadget features a 1.2Ghz dual-core processor, a 7-inch display with a 1200×800 pixel resolution, 4G support and the Google Android Honeycomb 3.2 operating system. No word on pricing at this time. [Newlaunches]

ZTE has decided to release the Light Tab 2 tablet in the UK market via Clove. Powered by the Google Android 2.3 Gingerbread OS, the gadget features a fast 1.4GHz single-core processor with a 7-inch display, a 0.3-megapixel front-facing camera, a 3.2-megapixel rear-facing camera, Wi-Fi and 3G connectivity. Cricket Wireless has unveiled a new USB modem namely the Cricket ZTE AC3781. It is a 3G broadband modem that enables users to access the web, e-mail and text messaging. The modem comes equipped with a swivel USB port and a microSD card slot(up to 32GB). The device is compatible with Windows and Mac operating systems. The Cricket ZTE AC3781 USB modem retails for an MSRP of $99.99 each. Cricket’s broadband plans range from $45 to $65 monthly with speeds up to 1.4 Mbps. [Cricket Wireless]

ZTE has decided to release the Light Tab in the Japanese market. This Android tablet features a 7-inch (800×480) display, a 600MHz Qualcomm MSM7227 CPU, a 512MB of RAM, the Google Android 2.2 OS, 3G, WiFi and GPS. Additional features include a 3MP camera, an SDHC card slot (up to 32GB) and a 3400mAh battery. Measuring 192mm x 110mm x 12.6mm and weighing at just 388 grams, the ZTE Light Tab will be available in Japan later this week for 39,800 Yen ($487). [Akihabara]

ZTE Corporation today announced the ZTE Light 2 tablet with Pixel Qi’s sunlight-readable display at MWC 2011. The tablet features a 12.6mm super slim design, the Google Android 2.2 OS, a 1GHz processor and a 4GB of memory. The 7-inch low-power Pixel Qi display has multi-touch capacitive touchscreen and a screen resolution of 1024×600 pixels delivering a pixel density of 170 pixels-per-inch. Chinese gadget manufacturer ZTE today rolled out their first Android 2.1-based tablet in the form of the ZTE Light. This gadget comes jam packed with a 7-inch LCD display with a 800×480 resolution, 3G + WiFi, a GPS, a digital camera, an FM radio, Bluetooth, a compass and a G-Sensor. ZTE today introduced a new V7 MID in Shanghai. Powered by a 806Mhz Marvell PXA310 processor, the gadget runs on Maemo OS and features a QWERTY keyboard, a 4-inch (800×480) WVGA display, a 3.2-megapixel camera and a 1800mAh battery. Measuring 120mm x 85mm x 12.8mm, the ZTE V7 MID also supports EVDO 3G connectivity. Too bad, there is no word yet on pricing or availability. [ClonedInChina]

More environment-friendly handsets will be released in the near future. One of these mobile phones is the Coral-200-Solar from Digicel Group and ZTE.
