Microsoft Sidewinder X6 Keyboard

Microsoft has recently introduced gaming keyboard Sidewinder X6 at Leipzig convention. To ship in September, X6 will feature Switchable key pad with either right side or left side configuration. The keyboard has even adjustable backlighting dial, Keyboard keys are red, and key pad and Macro keys are amber in Game mode. Lighting dial adjusts the brightness of the keyboard and key pad. The switchable keypad enables gamers to record up to 90 macros PER game, which will come in handy for gamers requiring extensive shortcuts, for spells as an instance. Finally, the keyboard remembers specific configuration that works with certain softwares/games, including the macros. The SideWinder X6 Keyboard start hitting stores this September for $79.95. Sony S-Airplay Multi-Room Audio System

Sony has come up with solution to bring music to every room in your home with the Sony S-Airplay SA20PK Multi-room Audio System. With the help of wireless speakers, Sony’s S-AIRPLAY transmits signals to speakers up to 164 feet away. The main docking station has a working range of up to 50 meters, which will cover average houses - unless you’re living in a huge mansion or the like. The system also includes support for iPod, CDs, AM/FM radio. The Sony S-Airplay System is set to retail for $400 sometimes next month. I got the feeling cables are going to extinct one of these days. Pioneer’s Latest Blu-ray Player Specs Leaked

Pioneer Elite BDP-09FD Blu-ray

Pioneer’s Latest Blu-ray player specs have been leaked on the internet. The rumor has it that Pioneer Elite BDP-09FD will be the best Blu-ray player available in the market, surpassing even PS3 performance. The BDP-09FD is the first Pioneer unit to support Profile 2.0 and BD-Live with 4GB of internal storage. It will also cater for more conventional media, like CDs and DVDs, making it one single box for all. Each one of the units 7.1 analog outputs is equipped with their own digital to analog converters. Video comes by the way of one of the industry’s leading image processors and is fed over two HDMI 1.3a jacks. Epson Introduces New Workforce For Small Business

Epson Workforce 500 / 600 / 40 / 30

Epson has recently come up with new addition to Workforce lineup, engineered for the small business and home office; Workforce 600, 500, 40, and 30. These all-in-ones produce laser quality output at laser fast speeds. Workforce 600 is capable of printing laser-quality black text at 27 pages per minute. It offers both wired and wireless connectivity. WorkForce 500 on the other hand does not print as fast as its brother, 600. It uses Instant-dry DURABrite® Ultra Ink, that is water resistant and enable prints to have lifespan of over several years. Finally, both 40 and 30 are meant for users who simply need to print black text and light photo printing. Workforce 40 offers wired and wireless connectivity as well as higher capacity ink cartridges. Workforce 30 uses unique dual black ink cartridge system that claim to produce twice as many output. Workforce 600 will be available for $600, while WF 500 and WF 40 both priced at $130 and finally WF 30 will be retailed for $70. All models will gradually hit store late august until september. Building That Looks Like an Alien Base

Sarah Scheider Rehabilitation Center Rainberg

This architectural landscape lying in the middle of snowy hill is actually concept for a medical rehabilitation centre in the Austrian Alps designed by architecture graduate Sarah Schneider. It is known as Asemic Scapes for Rehabilitation Center Rainberg. Unfortunately, it is not an alien spaceship landed somewhere. Designed to accommodate 50 patients, it features balconies overlooking the mountains and raised walkways running through the surrounding forests. More pictures of interior and designs at Dezeen.

Intel 8 Cores?

Intel Slideshow 2010 Sandy Bridge

Intel intends to double up the number of cores per chip and add a brand new language code for the upcoming processor generations. Intel’s Core i7 will start applying manufacturing process shrink down from 45 nanometers to 32 during 2009. It will however be replaced with new architecture codenamed Sandy Bridge by 2010, which will double the number of cores per die to eight. Intel will reportedly introduce a new instruction set termed Advanced Vector Extensions (AVX) that will ultimately supersede the Streaming SIMD Extensions (SSE) found in today’s Core 2 and eventual Core i7 designs. The improvement will double the size of instructions to 256 bits and will optionally perform as many as four calculations in a single instruction. The extensions should accelerate performance in media encoding, 3D modeling. These planned upgrades are not the end of the story. As you can see in the slideshow, Intel has also come up with long term plan covering until 2012. Intel promises substantial improvement by then. Intel is believed to be confirming some or all of this information at next week’s Intel Developer Forum, which will primarily focus on Core i7. [Electronista]

The VIA VX800 media system processor is an all-in-one, highly integrated digital media chipset featuring the latest video, graphics and connectivity performance in a single chip. It offers DirectX9 graphics core and video playback for MPEG-2, MPEG-4, WMV9, VC1 and DiVX video formats. The board is available with either a power-efficient 1.5GHz VIA C7 or 500MHz VIA Eden processor, supports up to 2GB of DDR2 system memory and includes two onboard S-ATA connectors, USB 2.0, COM and Gigabit LAN ports.
