Taiwan’s AU Optronics have showcased their latest 14-inch OLED panel at this year’s FPD International show in Japan. Unlike most 14-inch OLED panels, this particular panel provides 1920 x 1080 FULL HD resolution and is capable of displaying 16 million colors and 72% of the NTSC color gamut. The panel also offers 157ppi density, 100,000:1 contrast ratio, 200 cd/m2 brightness and runs at 120Hz. The company says that they are ready to start mass production of it if it sees enough demand. The Txtr is a new eBook reader that was debuted at a book fair in Germany. Measuring 151mm x 12mm and weighing 300grams, the Amazon Kindle competitor will be available in Germany in December 2009 for around $500. The Txtr features a 6-inch (600 x 800) display with orientation sensor, a 8GB of storage (SDHC), a 532Mhz CPU, and a 64MB of RAM. AppleInsider has received unconfirmed information from several sources about Apple’s next iMac revision, which is expected to be available next year. According to the new information, Apple will use Intel Core i7 “Clarksfield” mobile processors and Blu-ray drives in the next-generation iMac.
