Here’s Apple’s new holiday ad, with all the MacBooks and the iPods and the iMacs and everything Apple-icious gliding over virtual ice and making kaleidoscopic dances. I bet this would stimulate your optic nerves as much as it did mine. I watched it 3 times and I’m watching it again as soon as I hit “post”.

Sally told Susan told Johnny told Sally again that a 15.4-inch Macbook will be released in May 2007. We are actually a little disappointed at the news and would much prefer a smaller version of the notebook. And what the hell is Sally doing talking to Johnny again?
As much as I would agree with the kind folks at Gizmodo I don’t really mind variety. Besides my 12″ iBook is breaking my back (from slouching too much so I can look at my f***ing screen). Well I guess Steve Jobs is facing some real time dilemma here, it’s never easy to please us demanding users!

This shows how you can use an overheating Apple MacBook as an electric stove. It does very well for preparing your breakfast. You can cook an egg or warm a cup of coffee on your overheating MacBook before it blows up melts.

While most people are still lusting over Apple’s latest release of the MacBooks, this crazy Japanese guy decided to take his apart. He’s got a step-by-step instruction with detailed photos on his blog in case you’re curious or just as stupid creative as him to pull off the same trick.

Just when I started feeling bad about my sluggish iBook G4 Apple just had to rub it in and launched a new line of iBook crushers. The replacement models are dubbed MacBook sans the “Pro” and they come with built in iSight and a brighter 13-inch glossy widescreen display. The real kick is that the higher end model comes in sleek black. Armed with an Intel Core Duo processor it is 5X faster than the iBook G4. The only downer is that it doesn’t come with a dedicated graphics adapter. I knew there was a catch to their $1,099 starting price. The black one will cost you $1,499 though and it comes with an 80GB SATA hard drive, 512MB memory and a SuperDrive. Get them at the Apple Store.

Apple has just unveiled their new 17-inch Macbook Pro. This laptop will feature an aluminum case at just 25.4mm thin, weighs only 3kg, includes a built-in iSight video camera for video conferencing and the Front Row with Apple Remote. In addition to all the other neat features the MacBook Pro also features a MagSafe Power Adapter, invented by Apple especially for mobile users. Being powered by a 2.16GHz Intel Core Duo processor, this laptop is now up to five times faster than the 17-inch PowerBook G4. To interaction even easier this MacBook Pro features a built-in iSight video camera. That can be used for video conferencing on-the-go using Apple’s iChat AV, or recording a video Podcast and iMovie using iLife ‘06. An updated list of the Mac OS X can be found here. The new 17-inch MacBook Pro will be in Apple Stores next week and prices start at £1999 (~$3,575). Via Bios Magazine.
