
Sony B2B today unveiled the brand new all integrated Blu-ray home theater, the BDV-F7. The internet-ready Sony BDV-F7 Blu-ray home theater comes equipped with a subwoofer and a 5.1 Virtual Surround sound-bar. What’s more, it also supports Wi-Fi, DLNA, YouTube, Pandora, Slacker and Netflix. What makes the BDV-F7 more interesting is that it comes with a 3D Blu-ray movie support, a USB port for MP3 player, iPod and digital camera. The Sony BDX-S500U is a lightweight portable Blu-ray player that supports writing on BD-R (6x), BD-R DL (4x), and BD-RE (2x) discs. The BDX-S500U comes bundled with the Media Suite 8 software from Cyberlink for authoring, editing, data writing and back up. The portable drive also provides quick and easy connectivity with a high speed USB (USB 2.0) digital interface for simple setup and maximum flexibility. The BDX-S500U drive can record up to 50GB of data for random access storage and backup on BD-R (write once) or BD-RE (rewritable) discs, or up to 220 minutes of high-definition 24M bps MPEG-4 AVC/H.264 video on a BD-R/RE 50GB disc. Toshiba USA has expanded its collection of Blu-ray disc players with the new BDX3000. Known as the company’s first 3D-capable Blu-ray disc player, the BDX3000 provides the Full HD Blu-ray 3D playback with a suite of streaming content, comprehensive audio support, and complementary design. You can combine this Blu-ray player wth Toshiba’s all-new WX800 Cinema Series 3D LED HDTV and a pair of Toshiba 3D glasses. Additional features include the DynaLight control and the ClearFrame 240Hz technology. In addition, the BDX3000 also supports Wi-Fi and Ethernet connectivity for wireless access to streaming movies, television shows, music, and more. Pioneer will release the BDR-S06J BD recorder in November 2010. Priced at 30,000 Yen ($360), the device supports a 12x recording speed for BD-R and BD-R DL, a 6x for its LTH equivalent and only 2x for BD-RE. Toshiba has announced the availability of a couple new Blu-ray players in the UK. The Toshiba BDX3100KB is the company’s first ever Blu-ray player to support Blu-ray 3D movie playback. This player provides Full HD 1920x1080p 3D output, creating an outstanding next generation home cinema experience. Blu-ray movies are played back at 24 frames per second, preserving their original atmosphere and quality to provide smooth, cinematic playback exactly how the movie director intended. Additional features include a 3D-capable HDMI port, REGZA-LINK (HDMI-CEC) technology via HDMI, Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD Master Audio Essential.

Sharp will release a feature-rich 3D Blu-ray player in November this year. Dubbed as the Sharp BD-HP90S, the slim Blu-ray player is able to play 2D or 3D Blu-ray discs and connects to a Wi-Fi network for accessing BD-Live contents from the web wirelessly. Blockbuster Inc. today announced that the new Onkyo BD-SP808 Blu-ray player supports BLOCKBUSTER On Demand service, allowing users to browse and select certain movies as soon as the titles are available on DVD and Blu-ray without having to pay a monthly subscription fee. Using the system’s search tool, users can also view ratings, trailers and other information about each movie for a more personalized and simplified viewing experience. Samsung has introduced several new products at IFA 2010 including the 65-inch 8000 series Full HD 3D LED TV, the SP-A8000 3D-capable video projector, the HT-C9950W stainless steel 3D 7.1-channel home theater system, and the BD-C8900 3D BD player/recorder. The Samsung 8000 series features the company latest wave of widgets, DLNA support and Samsung AllShare, while the Samsung BD-C8900 3D BD player/recorder comes with a 500GB of internal hard disk drive. Mitsubishi has proudly introduced a couple of new Blu-ray recorders that come with either a 1TB or a 500GB of storage space. The Mitsubishi DVR-BZ340 (1TB) and DVR-BZ240 (500GB) feature a 8x Blu-ray recorder, two digital TV tuner and supports acTVila Japanese VOD Service.
